  1. I'm a little scared to try MTB SP! Thats the truth!!
  2. Hmmm. Makes sense. I was always of the opinion that your wheels had to be a certain size...but I guess they would not have introduced such a wheel if it was restricted. How long has the 29" been around now?
  3. Thats funny Racman...but surely the bikes look peculiar with such big wheels? MTB seems to be this ever evolving 'force' within the cycling industry...and yet I was amazed to find out the other day that MTB is still on 9speed?! Oh...I do eat humble pie regarding anything I have ever said with regards to Chris King...played with some hubs the other day, impressive.
  4. And the benefit of that on a MTB is? (I'm asking this coz I genuinely am curious!)
  5. Pardon my ignorance/stupidity...what is a 29"? (29er?)
  6. 5 complete bikes... 4 are road bikes, and the other is a track bike.
  7. You just lost 1000 cool points Tannie Nancy!!!
  8. Aahh, Holy...thats priceless! That Facebook post was nasty...but now she's just been called a "Tannie"...I love it!!!! Hey Tannie Nancy? When are you gonna knit us a jersey?!
  9. Hey Tannie Nancy, when are you going to do a photo shoot for your fans on the HUB? I'm still laughing!!!
  10. Ha ha!! Nancy is a tannie!!!! OMG I'm wetting myself with laughter!!!
  11. Atta boy! Good for you! I see you've been keeping the HUB running along nicely! Keep it up dude...chat soon...
  12. Good my old friend!! I wanna see where this thread goes!! How's the wrist? Spoiling the "gentlemans time?!"
  13. Cool thread Holy!!
  14. I found a Garmin 705 on Bid or Buy. It was also listed for like R4600 if my memory serves me correctly. But when I enquired it turned out it came without the cadence sensor (additional R400) In the end I just bought mine from my LBS...they installed it, set it up and I had the assurance that it was working 100%. You wont be sorry no matter which route you choose to go...
  15. CW maybe you should keep training until your good enough to be given one of those wonder bikes. Just a thought.
  16. Francois Du Toit Cycles as best I know. I know he has MOST in stock...
  17. Shortlegs, are you refering to Andy Lambert? I think he broke his neck in the 'head on' you are refering to? Last I heard he was fine and living in the States. This incident on saturday...let me be honest here, the guy who got knocked off and subsequently did the klobbering was not small. Not by a long shot! I stopped to assist in the mayhem, but him and 2 mates had it well in hand. It is bad...and I would have probably gone about it much the same way...
  18. The guy was definately drunk...
  19. The scary thing is that these guys will attack a bunch of riders so blatantly. We were easily in excess of 100 riders. And the guy who got knocked down certainly did give an incredible beating to the guy responsible...as well as his mates. I was saying to WW that its all good and well to lay into someone, but one day 'you' retaliate to the wrong guy and he pulls a gun. Game over. I must say, it did ruin a very pleasant ride. But it was nice to meet Joe Low & Wonder Woman. (sorry about the whole TREK WSD thing!) Oh...and I was wearing a sports watch at the time!
  20. I just caught the "Rip off" comment!! ...Dura Ace to be posted within the next couple days! Milky, thats not a bad time...sometimes if you worry too much about being dropped or not performing, you tend to set yourself up to do just that. I'd say let the 'chips fall where they may' and let the race take its course. You never know, you may be the one pacing the ever holy cr@p out of your group up Suikerbossie...
  21. www.roche.com EPO injectable will switch that 25kph to 25mph!
  22. Ok, well if Nancy's kissing girls...I'm there. Yes, been out of the loop for a while as I am sure most are aware. Gary can get me on my usual number as of tomorrow. I love the fact that even when abroad, my holidays can be so screwed up by someone on the Hub. Fiasm....I'm online for 20 minutes so keep an eye out for the mail.
  23. Very sad to see that Clint Hendricks fell badly during the Scratch race leg of the Omnium. Its no secret our guys are seriously off the pace...but just by how much was a big surprise to me. Regardless of that fact, the track events have been incredible. Had it not been for the Aussie, Kiwi, German, Italian and UCI supportersI would be amazed if anyone had been in the stands...
  24. Thats your opinion. Your entitled to it like I said WB.
  25. Yes, I am. Thanks for noting it
