  1. Ja Fritz! Das is correct Ja?! Take it avay, und make it very clear dey are fortunate to have it!
  2. Look, public humiliation sucks...and it should be done in a private manner. But at the same time, if your not up to parr, I'm sorry you need to be told. 10years ago, there was virtually no communication from the selectors to the riders. We simply co existed. So the fact that they are now giving feed back is good. The CSA...NOCSA whoever is selecting need to ensure their athletes are going to perform. But they also need to assist the riders if they are going to make comments like that. I dont think its right to make it public knowledge...but its right to tell the riders personally. My 2c...
  3. True Fritz! If they spoke Swisslish it would be better as well!! We are fortunate to have a dedicated cycling show. The choice is ours to watch it...
  4. LIVE..."I walk the Line"...another Johnny Cash cover! Brilliant!
  5. Pornstar, I think thats a great idea for the monthly prize/draw thingy. You wont go wrong. However, as to the 2 contenders...I would (in my opinion) base it on results, and the possibility of future results. Afterall, thats what you will require as exposure. Yes, Fire seems a babe, and Wolverine helps the animals...but bottom line is that you want your brand to grow through exposure...and exposure comes through results. I've cast my vote...
  6. I enjoyed the coverage yesterday, and like its been mentioned its fantastic that we do have the chance to watch the classics live. I know it cant be easy commentating on riders you have never seen before, but why not get Phil & Paul's commentary like they did for Paris Roubaix? Surely it was available? Or even that new Aussie guy they use in the TDF now? I'm gratefull we have cycling shows, but maybe it does need a revamp. I had the privilige of working alongside Owen and Aubrey at the Junior Worlds in Cape Town last year, and boy was I shocked to see how much work was put in by those guys. Owen was always the first one there, and always the last to leave. What I thought was an easy job turned out to be flipping hard work by them. When is that "Pedal Talk" on? I've never managed to see an episode...
  7. Ouch! Your killing me Shorty! I'll have you know I've lost 5kgs since provincials!
  8. You could give Pheiffer a rusted old bike from the 1920's and he'd still kick @$$...
  9. Whoa...thats a blast from the past! I did my first one back in 1990...won a stage in 1991! Would be interesting to see how the event is these days!
  10. Thanks for the pics Ronelle! Please keep them coming...
  11. You guys are nuts...
  12. Absolutely awesome pics! Thanks Ronelle... Shorty...dude, your looking lean and mean! Or did the just give you one of Chunky's old jersey's?!
  13. Hey! Just saw these pics! Sweet...hey Gav, when your SO is Greek...spare tires and tubes cannot be helped! Sweet pics Agteros! Thanks!
  14. Dude...doing it wisely is your best bet. Look at me for example...was in the same position in November when I bought my Pinarello Paris. Now, I'm selling coz I have upgraded...but wont get anywhere near what I paid for my bike. The initial buyer is going to lose the most when it comes to these bikes. Trust me...I know! My bike is months old and in pristine condition...but not even worth half of what I bought it for. Sure, I can ask a high price...but it aint gonna sell. You have a nice choice ahead of you...albeit a stressfull one. Why not consider a brand new Pinarello FP6 with Chorus? Its approx R60k. Or any of the Cervelo's BMC? The 928 Bianchi's would certainly fall in that range as well? Surely?
  15. Bianchi are in my opinion the most underrated bike. They are fantastic to ride.
  16. FARGIN HELL...I'd wanna do myself in!
  17. Holy cr@p...that hill looks seriously steep....
  18. Thats not him!!
  19. I'm a Mavic fan...but I'd have to say the DA wheels will be the better bet.
  20. Exactly...hence why I posted what I did originally! I'd never have to go back to Beufort West...coz Id never drive to Cape Town!
  21. Nothing in my opinion DiCPD! Its the fuzz who seem to mind!!
  22. One pool manual on its way dude! Honestly, its actually quite logical when you consider it...you really do need to see brake lights...and some people dont see them when they are not obscured! Dont get me wrong...I'm no 'Dudley do right'...in fact on my way home now between Meyerton and Glenvista I was several times well over 190kph. I roll through stop streets every day... But my number plate is always on...and I always pay my fines coz I know I am wrong. (very wrong...and I've tried to help Sbu out and get the road speed limit changed...but to no avail)
  23. Please Porky...you think I come on here to rain on a parade? Was it not too long ago that Bicycling contained a letter of complaint regarding a police road block en route to a cycle race? I'm sure Mr Badenhorst will back this up...the police were stopping people with rear mounted carriers and fining for obscured plates and brake lights. Had this experience before myself years ago...and when reading the rules its clear that nothing can obscure your brake lights in any way...even more so than your number plate (which by law does not require a number plate light?!) However...I dont actually care if any of you get a fine. I just thought I'd give a friendly warning. And I personally would drive back to Beaufort West to pay a fine than 10c in the pocket of a Traffic official. I detest them at the best of times!!
  24. Sorry to be the proverbial @$$ here...but its more than just your number plate thats the issue. If your spoked wheels are in front of your tail lights they are allowed to issue a fine. No jokes. Its ridiculous, but true. Even though they are still technically visible, they are still deemed to be obscuring your brake lights. Sorry guys...had some experience with this one
  25. He'll be first down TNT...thats how Horror movies work!
