  16. It probably is a bit of a risk. They normally ride in a fairly large group with radio contact between the front and back riders and always a "sweep" rider or two so that the group does not get too spread out. I am loathe to say this but it is good advice the whole radio contact thing as we lost a rider last night in our bunch of 12. We all bolted across a road and 1 rider had to wait for 3-4 vehicles and by the time he got across the road the bunch was a small spec in the distance. If we had radio's with us it would have been no problem. he tried to chase us down for about 10 kays before someone realised we where a rider short. Had to send a search party back. It was a disaster for him for the rest of the ride. Clearly we have to rethink our rules and how to handle these rides. Please some positive feedback on how you exprerienced guys do this group ride thing at night. I shudder to think what could of happened.Dirty Twin2009-05-27 03:08:32
  17. Nice one!! what tyres are those?
  18. I have bought the following packs: 1. Sportsmans Special = Rubish (Wasted R300) 2. Hydrapack = rubish(Wasted R700) 3. Camelbak = Should of bought first. Also depends what you want to carry with you. For the TB you don't have to carry too much as they have well spaced and stacked water points can't really comment on other races as I have only done 4 or 5 stage races again well spaced water points. Don't go fast enough to have serious mechanical problems. If I had to buy again it would certainly not be anything but a Camelbak and not more than a 2 liter resevoir/bladder.

  22. Well done D. If we can stick our sticky wrappers in our cycling short bib pant then so can everyone else. Then they won't need people to pick up papers post race. I was at a MTB race yesterday and been at the back of the field did not see a single wrapper on the course.
  23. Do yesterday's actually ride bicycles ?? I might type slower than I think but you are still a tosser JERKWALLY.
