  1. Wow.... go and enjoy!!!!!!
  2. Thanks for keeping us updated Riaan.... isn't it lovely to see so many great people on the hub? One just hopes that the pain starts to subside, and WW begins to feel more comfortable. Be strong WW x x
  3. Well done Bernard. May this be encouraging for Francios (Worcester Wheelers). Hubbers are a huge family.
  4. Phew, I am speechless...... Only heard about WW this afternoon.... My thoughts and prayers are with you WW.... Speedy recovery, and you know you can do it...... Natasha, may you find strengh from all your friends, and I know that you will be able to cope, as you are a very strong person. Love to your children as well, as this must be very hard or them. Riaan, what a lucky family to have you and your wife as friends.... I can certainly vouch for you, and no-one needs to worry about the account name or funds. My deposit on the way soon. Please continue to keep us informed. Regards and love
  5. Sorry to hear that Colin. Glad to hear you are getting back on the bike. Hope your claim is sorted.
  6. I got waiting entry 608... and holding thumbs. Is there also a 'entry' date that one can also try and get an entry through??? sometime in August?
  7. How come Chris Jnr rode with MTN or was it a 'record' breaking attempt only?
  8. Eeina Lilo.... glad to hear that you are ok.... hope you heal quickly.
  9. Shortlegs, I mentioned the same thing in a posting wednesday... had great repect shown by Taxi's, cars and trucks.. giving us room when passing... always show my appreciation. Thanks Motorists. Buses still give me the creeps.... just a tad too close for comfort.
  10. So glad you guys are ok... really is getting scarey here in the Cape... Heard there was also a cyclist down on Table Bay Bvld last evening... on the 6pm traffic report. Take care out there.
  11. Not nice to hear, hope they are ok and recover quickly. Again on Otto Duplessis to day, we had such friendly drivers, taxi's, trucks and motorists. Thanks we much, we really respect this friendship. Makes for a far safer training ride.
  12. Wow, what an awesome line up... To all Killarney riders.... Kick a*s and enjoy the Tour. Will miss you tomorrow, but at least cycling still wins. Safe Tour to all entrants.
  13. Sob... Sob... R and R were unable to make Killarney. I soke to the 'learner' and she was going to ask her friend, who was riding to put them on the Hub..... will try to contact the rider..... Just isn't the same hey!!!!!!! R and R... book your dairies for next week PLEASE.......
  14. So glad you are still around to post this report... Nice to have you here ......
  15. Sean, your account was really funny, but I am very glad you are OK, and have seen the doctor...... wondered why you never popped in to Killarney this evening.... take CARE AND LOOK AFTER YOURSELF.
  16. Well I can only rave about Michael as well.... never felt more comfortable on my bike, and my KNEE problem is a thing of the past.... after three months of pain. Now to have the MTB done...... hopefully this week. Also a big THANK you to Michael for the sponsorship of a few free bike set ups as give-aways at Killarney events...... Thanks Michael.
  17. As always, the highlight of my week... Thursday is Photo Time... and as stunning as always. Thank you Ronel and Raymond. IanJ.. Yes, these two Capies take the bestest photos ever, and Midge and I are honoured to have them, free of charge, at our Killarney events....... makes more people want to ride, and be part of the action. Bionic.... never saw you last night.... maybe you were just to fast for me.... Vaste6... welcome, glad you enjoyed the ride, and even more happy that you will be back next week. Marius, you rode so well, and I believe your week-end of MTB was good. Well done. Fanie Fiets... hope you got home safe after your 'near' mugging on the way to Killarney. Your Dad rocked and rode exceptionally well.... (did he learn from you?) Sprint was really good, and Kevin just holding David off too perfection. Thanks to David and Kevin (MTN) for joining our event... always helps to boast the evening...... C U All next week.......
  18. Fanie, Sorry to hear this sad news about your Dad, hope he is well and not too sore.
  19. Hey Fanie... tried to apply..... but your mail box is full Thanks for the address. x
  20. Just checked out you website.....AMAZING pics! Fanie... what is the website address? Raymond, awesome photos, thanks for posting them.
  21. Why is trackriding and Killarney on the same day? I had to make a choice, I chose track Quote by JPW... Maybe the Track organisers need to answer this one.... but bearing in mind how hard it is to get the track booked, these clashes will happen, and they need to grab all dates available. Killarney been on a Wednesday evening for 20 odd years.... Hope you enjoyed your track riding, and will see you at Killarney next week. Please ask me for the Isostar product that you missed out on. Bionic man.... I was actually commenting to Colonel about how much you have improved, and here you acknowledge it. Well done, great riding. I just wish more of the 'back-markers' would hang in, come back weekly, and just see how they improve. Getting dropped is not a shame, just helps to improve your riding strength. +1 when we re-open for the 2009/2010 season OK!!!!!
  22. Kabous, I did the Cedarberg Challenge, and got such a wake up call, that I also had second thoughts on doing the Epic.... but then thought,,, stuff it, I finished these three days, am just going to train wiser and ask for help from whoever is available, and knows about the Epic.... have changed my whole mindset, and although I am nervous about the Epic, I am far more confident, and getting stronger every day. Yes, I am going to walk, and push, cry and swear, but am going to do my damdest to get to the finish line, even though I will be facing extreme challenges every one of those eight days. (Remember how much training you are putting in.... don't throw it away now) Hang in there, be positive and maybe we will just be at the back together!!!! Train safe.pedal2008-12-23 05:38:10
  23. I am so sorry that I cannot remember the number of the guy who tossed his gel packet over to his left, and missed me by millimeters....... know he was an H rider, riding in S bunch with a young female.. (maybe his daughter).... really is annoying. I always stick the empty packet into the bottom of my shorts... really gross, but rather than in my pocket with the other goddies stashed in them.
  24. Intern, lovely to meet you, and thumbs up on a great ride.... looking forward to seeing you again. Glad you arrived back safely. Isn't it strange that the first oke you meet, on your way to Killarney, following your nose... is Uwe.... what a great person. Killarney was great, turnout low, but racing as intense as usual. Remember that next wek is the end for this season. 2009 starts on 14th January.
  25. Ronell, and he left early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
