OK... so WP riders come and support Killarney..... 18 or so events held every Wednesday evening Race for an hour (light permitting) Entry only R20.00 per event NO TRAFFIC NO LICENCE NO CLUB FEE Amounts to: Max entry fee R400.00 for series AND Prize money is paid back at end series Some weaks have a prize bonus attached!! Most weeks each entrants gets a 'freebie' and it is very good training. C U THERE

Went along last night and am now considering going back again to watch..... WAS excellant riding. Madison was not for the faint hearted. I am sorry that I missed the Men's points race.... believe it was a thriller. Great cycling. Well done to all (No South Africans anywhere!!!!!!) and speedy recovery to those unfortunate fallers, especially in the Ladies points race.... not nice at all.

Zerocool, I run a development cycling programme, and we have often received non-cycling clothes, which we give to the more needy, as they are in dire need of clothing....... so would gladly take them from you. I have appealed for help on the Hub many times for donations of used clothing, cycling equipment etc for the 'development schools programme' that Midge and I run and have always been overwhelmed with the assistance we get. Every single item gets used and re-used and re-used...... really is rewarding from our side to see these happy faces. Even though I like the idea of a 'fund' it is just too open for abuse, and as other postings have implied, not everyone's cup of tea. All you hubbers rock, and even Jhb hubbers have contributed to our fund, and we are in the process of getting a frame and clothing to CT in the next week. Thanks WS x . Chrispy... who are the 3 teams with 20 riders.? I think the problem lies with the sponsors being screwed and therefore pulling out of the sport. Really sad, as more teams = more competitive cylists = more cycling for us to watch.

KonaFan.... I have been close to the MTN camp when DR has thrown a wobbly.... not very pleasant, so I guess other spectators have been witness to this. but hey, I guess the boss can do that. I think ALL the bosses throw wobbly's....... thats what cycling and winning for Sponsors is about. Chrispy.....MTN had 10 or so guys on the start line in Durban... Konica 5. Konica secured 1st and 2nd so this makes some more determined and cycling great to watch.

Wow, just signed in and what an interesting read.... just the shake up we need in the cycling world. I would love to see a new team, and with some classy riders, but please NOT all in the same 'basket. Heard a similar rumour a while ago, however, no mention of the riders concerned......... Best luck to who ever changes teams, and why should ML be charged as guilty? he has given more than his fair share of coverage to MTN. Roll on with the news.......
