  1. @Baldrick...I feel your pain sarcasm...LOL
  2. Eish...so only 161 riders starting today then
  3. LOL...then it doesn't make sense that I can see it LOL
  4. Nope...working at the moment
  5. I am hovering between 200 and 300'th place will be VERY surprised if I end up close to 100 or even less...especailly with Landa and Quintana in my team BUT...it's still fun and love the cycling so far...still have from stage 11 to 21 to enjoy Edit: sorry stage 12 to 21
  6. Looks like a small improvement for me today...hope to change upwards and not in a downwards spiral like the last 10 stages well at least upwards for one day I hope...
  7. Also my moto this year LOL...only 3 or 4 seconds could have changed my current Fantasy standing well at least I am enjoying the Racing every day...thinking about Sunday and who will be "scott-free" after those Cobbles That cobble stage could shake up the GC standings and possibly determine the outcome of a few 2018 riders...let's see what happens...good luck to ALL
  8. I am basically on this level... LOL
  9. FLAT AND FAST from what I've heard...
  10. Very tempted
  11. Please advise address for ADMIN to deliver your Wahoo KICKR
  12. That is the same issue we ALL have LOTS OF LUCK ALSO INVOLVED IN THIS GAME!!! How can you perfectly predict the outcome of a 3 week long cycle race with 3500 off kilometers from start to finish...the same chance we have of winning the Lotto well ONE lucky Bliks#m will be the "closest" to predicting the final result...
  13. Jip that WAS quite cool...picking one out of 176 riders is not an easy feat it was fun and also pulling HAIR out of your skull when your pick ended 2nd or 3rd on a specific stage...LOL...maybe we should not request it again it's already difficult enough...but I agree it was something ADDED on a daily basis
  14. Understood Yes it will be a juggling act to get the correct mix of riders in your squad. BUT as we are WELL AWARE there is also a HUGE amount of LUCK involved Good luck to all and enjoy TDF 2018.
  15. Just to clarify - Does this mean that the TTT winners in that team will ALL be given 25 points EACH for 1st place, ALL riders in 2nd place get 20 points, etc, etc on day 3? So the first 10 teams rides would end up getting some points?
  16. My normal trend for this &*%$#@# game is...start off day 1 around 887th place. Lose a BIG points maker in the first 3-5 days... Score some points...up to 395th place...a sprinter or 2 picked are doing well First weekend and rest day...change a few subs... Slide down to 515th place...because the guys on my bench are now performing well in the second week Get back up to 257th place...some riders picked are getting a few high positions over the line Second weekend and rest day 2...change subs with the guys that are out of TDF in my picks Back down to 423rd place...guys subbed are mostly sprinters and not performing in the mountains Getting closer to the middle of week 3 and one or 2 GC picks are doing well in the mountains and I am sprinting for the 197th place... Come Paris I end up 549th place and I am pulling out my hair... Morning of 30 JULY 2018 - scream and swear at THE BIKE HUB --- how we are going to wait another 49 weeks FOR THE NEXT EDITION OF THIS f&*#$-UP GAME
  17. Yes, looks very similar to last year...not only GC riders to pick, but a mix of guys and then who will end up top 10 in all the categories come Paris...
  18. AWESOME THANX AGAIN FOR 2018 TDF FANTASY LEAGUE can not wait!
  19. Awesome story Taito...thanx for writing it.
  20. Well said...groot woorde!
  21. I have a friend that did the very first Munga in 2015...he was also the first to enter with his race number being "1" Over the last 2 to 3 months we have trained together each weekend and I can not remember one training session that we did NOT speak about MUNGA!!! - from day 2 of MUNGA EVERY bit of his body was hurting...even his earlobes...LOL - falling asleep while riding...classic and priceless...luckily not getting hurt - burnt from the sun and having a TAN LINE 8 months after the race... - his lips were SO burnt and blistered from the sun...very painful...having the correct Lip Meds is very important in the Karoo sun and heat... - etc...etc...too many stories... It is such a great race that he can not stop talking about it...and he WANTS to go back and do THE MUNGA. this IS A LIFE CHANGING EVENT as far as I can gather...do not even THINK that it is not...THIS IS THE RACE TO DO... Hope and prey I can also do it one day...even BETTER would be to do it together with Wessel one day Go and enjoy guys and gals...you might not have fun for the whole 5 days, but completing the Munga will probably be in your top 5 awesome things you will do in your life EDIT: spelling
  22. NICE thank you might just be there...
  23. I MUST AGREE with this...if I am really looking for something, I DO THE SEARCH THING!!! I found an awesome Full Carbon bike about a year ago...person had the add up for about 3 weeks before I saw and replied. The price was quite a bit higher than what it was worth at the time (FIRST TIME SELLER) hence I think the reason for the bike not being sold yet. Was in the market for a bike, BUT the funds were not all in place yet. Contacted the seller and he confirmed the bike is still available (I was stoked). Negotiated on the price and he said I could get it for R5k lower than advertised, bargain (I said to myself) Took it for a test ride (at his house) and I was sold on the deal, felt like a little KID again Discussed the deal and said I would have the total funds in about 2 weeks...I gave him a small deposit and seller agreed to keep the the bike. Came back 2 weeks later with the rest of the cash and picked up the bike. Got a huge bargain @ R10k (add was for R15K) - it was a ROAD bike and he was more into MTB training and races...bike was hanging in his garage for about 2 years...you could SEE the cranks have barely been "cranked" and I would guess the bike had about 100-200km's If I did not search, then I would not have seen this bike!!!
  24. I do agree with this completely... Saw a bike on The Hub a few weeks ago for R20k and it was a year older than my wife's bike which we sold 3 years ago for R8,5k...apparently the bike shop said it's worth R20k Also saw another add for a 2nd hand FD 7900 (10-speed) being sold for more than a new 11-speed FD...apparently if it says DURA ACE it's worth any asking price But if you know the 2nd hand market price then you would not be caught out and will either move along and wait for another item at a market related price, or offer the person what you think it is worth... Also "that time of the year" and will be easier to sell something closer to 94.7 or Argus times (Road bike related)...MTB is fairly whole year round type of market, although some people hibernate a little Also less disposable income around these days...but then again there are R80k +++ bikes being sold
