  2. Congrats...would have loved to own that machine!!!
  3. Would be VERY surprised if anything actually happens to the driver of the taxi...
  4. Those shirts are amazing and would LOVE a few for me and the missus, but @ R450 + per shirt...eina, can get a lot of coffee beans for them prices.
  5. And only 9.2km's added together for those 5 hills @ an average gradient of +/- 4.5%...piece of cake
  6. 6 years ago I started in "PP"...it was the LAST group and Wackhead still made a note of that, we were indeed the last group out LOL... Only started cycling 6 weeks before the race (got a late entry substitution from someone) - was also my FIRST ever cycling race - the route was still on the N14 (I miss that, because long small-ish up and down hills are my strongest point) - was very surprised to have a finish time of 3h39. I was only 39th in the PP group, so there were a few racing snakes that started with us. 6 years on I would not want to miss even ONE year and totally love the race...just go out and enjoy it and good luck with the 4 hour bench mark...you might even do better than you think.
  7. I also thought the trusty old dishwasher would do the trick, thanx will try tonight and see how it goes. I also have these attached at the moment (bar end handles), not sure if it all will fit, will see tonight.
  8. What is the easiest to put them on? I see they say to use windolene as it will evaporate quickly?? What did you do? Difficult to get the old ones off?? I hear they say to use a small screwdriver an voila? Unfortunately I went for the dull black on black but my bike is Black on Black...if they are as awesome as they say then I am sure I will get some more LUV in the future and be more "dashing"
  9. Ordered the LUV on Tuesday and delivered a few minutes ago...will try to put the LUV on my Merida tonight before training tomorrow morning... thanx guys
  10. Doing it a little different this year and just going to enjoy the day out...if I find a beer or two along the way it will be a bonus... 6th year in a row riding 94.7 2nd year in a row riding for SPCA Doing a jolly ride on my MTB and hoping to crack a sub-4...if not, then so be it there is always next year
  11. Ek stem saam ou maat...selfde met motors, karavane, ens. ens...betaal vir die "brand"
  12. Agreed - components are exactly the same on all bikes...basically only the frames and wheels are different with handlebar / stem / saddle in the mix. And this price tag for a semi-soft tail I guess that new Titan Duel suss with 11-speed XT/SLX mix does not look that bad anymore @ R30k LOL
  13. Also the reason for the aggressive saddle position...Just B@lls to the wall from start to finish
  14. WOW...Johan, once you have enjoyed this beaut to it's limit...PLEASE PASS IT ON TO ME Thank you

  20. Not so easy to read...but it's a Merida Scultura 907. Black stickers on Black Carbon...no paint. Awesome ride and I just LOVE the BLACK on BLACK Fairly light @ 7.3kg (including pedals and excluding saddle bag and bottles).
  21. My wife and I both had the Scultura EVO 905 bikes with Ultegra 6700 Components, she had the Red and Black (2011) and I had the Blue and black (2012) - they were awesome!!!
