  9. Hi guys I want to ask something regarding my training for the k2c. I did the dieburger mtb challenge here in stellies and i'm ride 3/4 times a week, so think i'm on the right track. I saw in the latest bicycle mag that there are some hill training exercises. But seeing that there is less than a month left before the k2c will it make a difference to my fitness if i start doing hill training once/twice a week now? Kind regards

  13. So I read almost all of the topics in the single speed forum and saw the awesom bikes you oaks built. And the urges to build one for myself started... At first I didn't have the right tools and though it would cost a million, but after the people of flandria cycles in stellies helped me, I was able to build my very first single speed out of an old avalanche reflex. This afternoon was its maiden ride and WOW!!! All of the fuss that was made in this forum wasn't a lie, it was amazing! On the first hill I almost though I was going to crack, but on the second one I caught an oak with a geared bike :-)! Standing outside of my door and can't stop smiling!!! You people were right, there's no looking back now! So thank you to all you the people that helped build up the excitement on this forum! Ps. sorry for any incorrect spelling, I'm a afrikaans boy'tjie

  16. Hi, I'm looking to buy the shifters from cwc(Is on special). Currently I've got alivio rapid fire on, with slx rear derailler and acera front. So my question is: would it be compatible with the derailler? Would it make a big difference to my shifting? And would it be a good upgrade, thus worth the money? Hope you guys can help me

  24. So you guys think L-Glutamine is a good supplement for recovery after rides? All i want to ask is if it will stop weightloss or even stimulate weight gain if you only use it after rides? And also the side effects? It's not going to cause a heartattack or something? Should you consult a docter before starting to use it?
  25. I want to do the 100 miller on the 26 of may, and I'm just wondering if I'm on the right path. I do 40km 2 times a week and try to ride over weekends. Have done 1, 100km ride, but was on the tar(with nobelies). Do football 3 times a week so think I've also got cross training covered? My question is thus, I'm I practising enough? And if not, how can I step it up now and will I be fit enough to finish the 100 miller in a reasonable time? Hope you guys can help me Thanks
