  1. eBucks feels like a breeze to understand compared to Vitality. With eBucks you have to: - Have a credit and fusion account. - Use your virtual bank cards (fusion or credit) for all your expenses (especially debit orders). - On the app, open the 'track my rewards', 'nav>money' pages each month. - Don't withdraw cash from an ATM. Those things should put you on tier 5 each month. I get around R700 a month back from shopping at Checkers, Engen and then Clicks (in that order).
  2. I'm interested to know what your top 3 revenue streams are for earning D-Miles? And then, on what status are you? (trying to understand how to best make use of the system to earn max rewards for the least amount of effort).
  3. For those wondering how to activate Vitality Endurance Athete Status: Activate it here. Few the points (now max of 600 per excercise) here.
  4. Totally with you. I still suffer from some FOMO so I do an event every now and again. But we are so spoiled for choice it makes it difficult to justify a 3-day W2W weekend. Ernie Els and Spier also now are part of the Winelands trails.
  5. Also read it. Thought he's somewhat off. Stage races are expensive - so you have to weigh up your options. There's also been a lot of other sporting events that have popped up. Things like triathlons, swims, trail running. And lastly, access to absolutely phenomenal mountain bike trails have popped up everywhere. We can now ride a 60km route through Plaisir, Boschendal and Banhoek that will make a W2W stage feel too expensive.
  6. Very little to do with attention span. More to do with the cost of living. This guy is blissfully ignorant.
  7. Facebook is pathetic. Gumtree is already in the grave for not having a review system. Facebook is next.
  8. Fanie kry asb jou feite reg. Gim is nie ‘n seunskool nie.
  9. Damn. Now it’s sold. Would have offered him R10k for that Scott.
  10. Best. Thread. Ever.
  11. Screw the weekend, this thread is pure gold.
  12. Whatever you choose, we want a pic of it on the couch please.
  13. Actually didn't know about the Exie 🤔
  14. Not one of your options but with that budget I'd buy a Santa Cruz Blur or Ibis Ripley (ripley more trail orientated than XC). https://www.bikeradar.com/news/ibis-ripley-2020/ - Haaawt
  15. Meh - slightly overrated IMO. Nowadays I like doing the smaller, less hyped up stuff like Van Loveren's Java Pinotage Race (Robertson), Du Toitskloof Wine's Gravel & Grape (Rawsonville) or Rooibos2Muisbos (Lamberts Baai). Shout out to smaller races: - Goodie bag is fantastic - Food and drinks on the ride include bananas, sweets, biltong, coke - Support often include an e-bike crew - For R300-R800 it's insanely good value
  16. What should this feel like?
  17. Yep, way too tight. Your shock isn’t even bottomed out yet. I would fix it by lengthening it with quick links and the few links that were cut off. Or buy a new chain and see if it skips.
  18. Economics: - Macro Voices - Macro N Cheese Business/Investing: - The Knowledge Project - Invest Like the Best Politics/Events: -The Intelligence from the economist
  19. Too many bike shops hiring "mechanics" at R350 a day and then expect knowledge and expertise.
  20. Not sure what happened there but I'm pretty sure e-bikes are to blame.
  21. Yeah we believe you 😉
  22. Wow mind blown. That’s a no brainer.
  23. Maybe ask CWC - they sell them.
  24. Had a GX Eagle RD. Was finicky since day one. B limit screw was a hassle to get dialed in. Last week I got a stick into the RD and it was now way off. Bought a SLX 12 speed RD on the GX shifter and now it works much better than the original GX Eagle RD. Setup was easy and it just works out of the box. At R1,400 less than a GX I couldn’t be happier.
