  1. already feeling for the little man! his gonna have one sore ass!
  2. ignorance is bliss
  3. It is ridiculous that you cant do your hobby for fear of being mugged, raped or killed! This isn't quality of life - immigration here we go!
  4. Might be the frame - bought my bike in October and had exactly the same problem! After spending a lot of cash and a few arguments with LBS the LBS suggested we send the frame back to the importer. I spoke to a couple of individuals that ride the same frame and most of them had similar problems. Importer gave me credit for the frame and I bought another make of frame which they also import. Not sure if I should mention the bike make - might be a bit offsides but I will never ever buy that brand again! My roadbike(same brand) is giving me similar problems but is less regular so it is difficult to prove.
  5. it is awesome! you can get one a cwc! R15k
  6. running is for people who steal stuff
  7. It is not safe for you nor the riders around you. If a rider overtakes another and shouts "passing right" and the oke with the earphones can't hear him and swerves right for some reason - BOOOM CRASH! If you want to listen to music buy a Tacx trainer from CWC and stay at home out of harms way of others!
  8. What are your thoughts on this bike? Anyone own one? http://www.swiftcarbon.com/bikes/detritovore/ Looks pretty awesome!
  9. I ride the highball carbon. Its an awesome frame! The steering is super accurate and I am able to flick it around on the singles quiet easily. The frame feels and is probably very robust! My previous bike was a giant anthem dual sus and I basically transferred all components onto the SC - I still can't believe the difference! Anybody that thinks a SC is just and ordinary frame is making a beeeeg mistake. I love this frame! FYI - I am not saying this to justify the money that I spent on the SC highball. I had a opportunity to swop the giant anthem dual sus frame for the highball, which I did and don't regret!
  10. sure dude whatever you say! go and wash your road bike!
  11. would u like some water for that face plant?
  12. its only gaping if you ignore the rest of the statement
  13. i see what you did there... found one small hole in my statement and exploited it! well done!
  14. 700 riders doing (max advertised on website) the marathon if you are in J +- 70 riders per batch...
  15. you are wasting your time! the hub is the place where those unfriendly roadies meet each other and talk k@k so that they feel better about themselves. every slightly meaningful topic is hi-jacked by a select few which digresses so far from the intended subject its ridiculous. everybody has aliases and this gives them the opportunity to do and say what they want without any real life repercussions, alas the the true individuals come out i am afraid no amount of reflection can help these bitter souls! the hub would serve the cycling community much better if there were no aliases for members the irony is that most of the "inner circle" think they are funny when they are bullying newbies!
  16. saw the trail and all mountain bars at mikes bikes in greenside earlier this week
  17. weather is horrible, cricket is terrible....
  18. wheels
  19. aren't mavics the only tubeless wheels? i.e. the rims dont have to get tubeless tape if so its why they are priced at a premium
  20. at this rate you wont need to buy a new frame!
  21. care to elaborate on your statement? i was merely highlighting that: a. linden cycles experienced problems in terms of their "try before you buy" process b. they failed to correct it after i highlighted to them that I needed to replace two bikes urgently and was milling to spend some $$$ since two of my bikes were stolen c. given the information this shouldn't come as a surprise
  22. nope...
  23. I wanted to "try before I buy" a couple of months ago from Linden cycles. I made arrangements accordingly, unfortunately the day I wanted to collect the bike from them they already borrowed it to somebody else. After a long investigation they came back to me with saying that they couldn't find my details or anything that proved that I wanted to borrow the bike. I explained to them that this was quite unprofessional and that it was a due to the lack of a proper business process when borrowing bikes and urged them to look at this as I was a dissatisfied customer which will rather buy a bike elsewhere Unfortunately for them this has now come back to bite them again. Yes we are all part of the mtbing community and respect each other but the LBS still has a responsibility to satisfy wants and needs and should ensure their business processes are in place and streamlined accordingly. I feel sorry for Linden but they failed to act when there was warning signals....hope you find your bike and that you alter the process to still satisfy the needs of mtbers but de-risk yourselves.
