  1. not sure but all of these are last years models. give them a call and rather pay COD than with your CC
  2. +1 separate road and mtb seeding different skill set required!
  3. most energy bang for buck on the bike meal is peanuts and raisins. i never do a race or long ride without it
  4. check the stitching on your saddle. the cover on my gobi lifted up and caused a wear. Got a new saddle solved the problem

  10. 1st rule of service delivery: Never over promise and under deliver. 2nd rule of service delivery: If you fprget rule 1 don't be an arrogant about it.
  11. The post doesn't amaze me at all! Experienced this arrogant attitude when I wanted to buy a bike from him, luckiky I didn't! No L in LBS here! What an absolute chop!
  12. guess you get what you pay for...
  13. try the sella italia sl xc - in SA you can only get the sl xc flow (with gap in the middle of the saddle) my girlfriend bought me the sl xc after in paris after i tested the sl xc flow which i didn't like because of the gap I use to ride gobi but now i ride sl xc on mtb and road very affordable saddle if you buy it online and super comfy!

  20. SA is sitting with a transport strike read the newspaper...
  21. Many companies have failed with this approach, for a company to succeed end users need to buy and be happy with a product. The LBS will only buy products that end users demand! This is economics 101...
  22. the anthem advanced comes out with a SID and Monarch combo, but thax also heard that will have to go book that service lesson at yellowsaddle sometime soon the GF is running fox front and rear...
  23. NICE!!! Lets be honest its a good idea to buy a new bike its probably not such a good idea to be on it for 106km the first time out... Hands also got a a bit sore, I think its because of: a. the wide handlebar - this is my first 29er and not use to the width b. cockpit setup needs some adjusting, i am moving my hands around too much Apart from that it goes like a rocket, the nobby nic's are great at the front soooo glad fitted them! they were a bit lose on one or two corners in the dry conditions but I still need to play with tire pressures etc. so I am sure I will sort it out! Love the adjustable suspension on the SID especially with variable conditions like the CC. 2 x 10 is also new to me but I do feel that there are enough gears and the bottom and low gear is sufficient. If I drop a couple kgs I might even opt for the 28/40 at the front when riding in joberg and move to 26/38 when doing the hilly stuff but enjoying the beer way too much at the moment to waste my time on that! Very happy with the purchase!
  24. as a matter of interest what hard tail do you have?
