  1. I know about the Shova, but I am hoping that this is a proper XC bike.
  2. I see in my first subscription issue of Tread Magazine that Roan Exelby is riding a "prototype Morewood XC and Marathon" bike. Anyone from Tread have inside info on what Patrick is up to? Are they making them locally? Judging by their 2009 bikes, it has to be hot!
  3. We can make a national company!
  4. My brother and I were talking about exactly the same thing yesterday.

  6. I haven't ridden the other two, but my Anthem ROCKS! Better value for your money.
  7. I bought from: FrancoisC, Carlo sg, Worcester Wheelers (A+), Schwynn, blingking, Singletrackminded, Perp + some others I might have forgotten about. I always paid in advance, and always received the goods in good condition. Never had a bad sale on the Hub.
  8. We need Sean here.
  9. No Scott or Specialized!? That just ruined my good mood! I'll just have to buy another brand.
  10. Bicycling magazine. Been done in JHB and CT. Now it's Durbs turn.
  11. Ride before you buy hits KZN! Because you test-drive a car before you buy it we have created 'Ride Before you Buy'. Hundreds of mountain bikes from many different manufacturers are available for you to ride all day long on a closed test track. When:Saturday 23 MayTime:9am till 5pmWhere:Giba GorgeCost:R45 per person (includes a t-shirt and a copy of the latest magazine)Bring:Your shoes, pedals and helmet Yes please! I'm gonna ride bikes until I'm dizzy. Does anyone know which brands will be there?
  12. That's two thumbs up! The best in the mud, and I like the float, it allows my knees to find their natural position.
  13. Bicycle parts = no duties. You only pay the VAT when it arrives. On Shoes there are duties, but I don't know how much. I had 4 DVD's in my CRC order, and they came through unnoticed.
  14. I just recieved my first order from CRC. Like I read earlier in this thread - Just like Christmas! Paid the VAT at the post office, no problem. Saved myself R1500.00
  15. This is definitely a great idea. Good for us the riders to choose the right bike, and good for the agents to show us what they have. When are they having one in KZN? Please!
  16. Shaun-Keith, try Leigh's. They have the KCNC Fly Ride - just a couple of grams heavier at 110 grams(90mm), and I paid R295 in December (probably R500 now)
  17. Glengarry is the place to go if you want to mtb. Revell, the owner/manager is a MTB'er himself. He organizes the "About The Kamberg" and "Glengarry Classic" MTB events each year. He knows all the farmers in the area and organizes access through their land for you. The Kamberg is without a doubt the most scenic places I have ever ridden. If you have kids, the will love floating down the Little Mooi river which runs through the property, or you could relax in the clear clean water yourself(beer in hand of course). Don't forget to visit the breathtaking Highmoor Nature reserve (a world heritage site) up the road (literaly UP the road). No, They didn't pay me to write this . I just love the place!
  18. Should be "as new''
  19. Maybe nikki is asking where Rasmussen got that bike?
  20. Maybe nikki is asking where Rasmussen got that bike?
  21. Thanks. I live in Hillcrest, work in Pinetown.
  22. I had a complete bike shipped (in a box) from CT to Durban via Fedex door to door for just over R300.
  23. This has to be the strangest thread I have ever read. Could someone inform everybody what happened on Prince George Drive? I'm sure the CT cyclists would like to know for their own safety.
