I been without wheels since the Argus hit a pot hole, two cracks on the rear rim! Insurance paid out but no stock! I even spoke to local bike shop about just replacing rim! but no reply !!!Love my Mavic wheels but back up service sucks! I bought a pair of 2nd hand wheels off the hub. Thanks Zakattak!

Water proof yes. Did the Herald cycle tour this year which was pretty wet! As for swimming cant say never swam with it but im sure it fine as its a sealed unit.Charging is done via PC to docking station which fits it like you put on your wrist and underneath there is metal contacts which transfer the charge from charger to the battery. Battery last me a few weeks on a charge.

Yes but without heart rate function. My Garmin Edge 500 doesn't pick the signal from the watch.(unless im doing something wrong)Would be awesome though!

I got myself the MIA ALPHA last year as cant wear a chest strap due signals not working like they should in my heart. At my last checkup at the cardio(September) I wore mine when they tested me on the treadmill and it was on par with there expensive equipment! Do miss having just to look at my Garmin to see where I am. When I'm my home trainer I use Smartphone with the app which picks up heart rate nicely then I put can put the phone in front of me to see what zone I'm in.

Has anyone ever managed to get hold anyone at the magazine(Bicycling)? I mailed them about 2 months back, been phoning them on and off, leaving msg on machines. Today get through only to be told that eveyone in a meeting i ask can i leave a msg?Only to be told i must email.So wtf must i do to get to speak to someone?

Rode B bunch last year, did ok'ish.My seeding ride was the Herald Cycle race, got a sub 3 but yet they drop me down to F!Go figure that!

I just went the double setup. I chose to go with 42/28 with a 11/36rear cassete at the back.Ok i way a lot less than you but at the moment am very unfit.Did the knysna 2 weeks back and i used the 36/28 option lots.I think maybe you should get the 39/26 double crank.A friend of mine has gotten that crank and is very happy, he can go climb anything now!

i use to ride with xt then i went to x-9 gripshift,well i'll never missed my xt!

Johan the first spoke broke +/- 2 inches from the rim.The 2nd spoke broke on the hub side(on the bend of the hook).If i look at the spoke you can clearly see 2 different colours.Dark colour is the old crack and the shiny bit is the new crack.Both spokes are next to each.

Last week Monday Tuesday i was packing my trailor in Cpt to return home as i put my AC 420 along side the frame(took the wheels off to lay bike and wheels inside the trailor)1 spoke broke with a loud snapping sound(almost like a gunshot).Ok was kinda shocked.Upon arriving home when i took the said wheel out i discovered a 2nd broken spoke. I have ordered spokes from my local bike shope plus a few extra. But need i be worried Johan or was it just a freak occurence?

Will look for it along the route.Thats if it hasn't been found yet?

Ok i'm going to *** in my pants on sunday or throw up my breakfast along the route. I'm starting in B! Hardly any training due our 7 weeks old baby.Going to hang with the boys for as long as i can, from there will hitch a pull with each group who comes past me! So might just end up in F!
