    Sad Day

Earlier a good friend of mine (Theo Havanaar) passed away. He had cancer and he fought it till the end. He was a very keen cyclist. This coming new year would of been his 19th or 20th Argus. but he was happiest on his mountain bike. Often i would phone him at night(after 9pm and would hear he was out riding, as it was the only time he could ride as he had to get his son to bed first) and he would be riding in the valley(baakens valley,Port Elizabeth). Often he would call me and tell me what wild life he saw there. He was always so amped to go ride. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.

    KCNC BAR ENDS

They should point towards the inside. What i did was i cut my my handle bar grip at an angle at the end sits flush against my bar ends. I see you have lock on grips so you can not do that.

    Rides in PE?

Oh you'll love target kloof! No only kidding nice way to end the ride after riding with the walmer bunch, you'll just cool down from there getting to Mount Croix.
  23. I ordered 2 frames and got them not even 2 weeks later. Got it built up about 8 months back. Since then i have done the Karro to Coast, Addo Mondi, 2 day Rock Pedal Classic and the Attakwas. And a few times out to Longmore forest rides. I have always ridden a a hardtail and i find that the bike is very responsive.Bike weighs 9.7kg only heavy thing thig is the wheels which is a set DT SWISS x1900. I was getting a set of American classic wheels from a hubber but then he dropped me and i had to make quick plans after waiting for him while he was on holiday.I saw the other day that they where up for sale again!
  24. Awesome pics. You are getting soft. The Murraysburg crawl was perfect Attakwas training! So what if its was a bit out of the way(lol).Missed a good ride though. Following day had just as a good ride on the farm in Middelburg. Just love riding in that area.
