    Well I moved Latour and GvA to the bench. I have conclusively proved that I should stick to my day (and night) job.

    At least Porte scored some point before his stage 9 curse hit. Now I will have to bring in a whole bench of climbers. Still hanging around 50ish is new to me. Thanks GvA!!

    Most of the top teams have LOTS of sprinters. Little light on GC and not many young riders. To paraphrase Naas Botha "the Fantasy Tour isnt won in the first week".

    I got my pink slip. Sadly my Lynskey Gravel Grinder got lost in Miami. The Boss wants to do the accommodation. I have 30 days to make a comeback. What tyres?

    Karma is tough on this one. Nothing like your saga but … My new Lynskey that I ordered with this in mind got lost (in Miami....). Now a new bike is being built. Tried to book accommodation for 2 days. All failed due to electronic?software crap and now I cannot get my entry in. Man I am looking at a lot of punctures or something if I ever get to the start.

    I didn't know abou the early bird thingy.... A little Hub exception?? Please.. I think it is time to swop out the Panorama. IF I can get accommodation I suppose.

    The lady at JhB check-in just asked me whether it was a bike. I said yes. She immediately tagged it and called a guy to take it away. Appeared to be routine. Bologna I had to have it tagged but then take it to a different place myself. Took some time. My third year doing the Giro trip. Routine still the same. Maybe I am lucky.

    I recently did Jhb to Bologna via Dubai. Emirates. Evoc bag loaded to 22.5kg. No problems either way (incredibly pathetic service at the oversize receiving back at OR Tambo though).
