  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hNwAO-m5MI Have been watching the whole Rock in Rio Slayer concert this morning. This song is a classic. After all these years they still kick some serious ass *mosh*
  2. Classic sounding Gothic Rock
  3. I currently have a 2012 Titan 29er Comp, which the spec sheets rekon has a Titan Comp Saddle. The seams on my saddle have started to split, and the saddle will last a short while still but needs replacing. Looking online at all the saddle options I am overwhelmed as to what to get as a replacement. My 2 requirements at the moment are, affordable ... and have the same profile as the current one seeing as I am used to riding it now. Does anyone have any recommendations of which are the better makes/models I should be looking at ? I don't want to waste money by buying the wrong saddle as it's not a couple bob that's at stake. I spend about an hour and half in the saddle daily so comfort would be a 3rd requirement
  4. I'd agree with this. For me, the larger the vehicle is that is passing me the more weary I am of it. They have bigger wheels that will crush you.
  5. I would like to give a *HUGE* thanks to all the guys working on the Snake trails. Rode Cobra, Mamba, and what I could on Boomslang on Saturday. I haven't had that much fun on the trails in Tokai in a while. Cobra was awesome, and so happy to be able to ride it again. Mamba flows a lot more than it used to and is longer. Boomslang left me confused I was so lost riding it. It's been a little while since I ventured that side with all the tree felling going on it looks so alien to me. The best trail for the day though will have to go to the Downhill track, from below Vasbyt to the quarry. There are so many awesome little drops to take on the Uni that it makes it very exciting and so much fun, and I even managed a jump gap ... albeit the smallest one, which the downhill guys won't even see, but hey it was a massive gap for me
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3LdMAqUMnM Also have the maxi single on vinyl for this
  7. I have the extended Maxi single on Vinyl sitting in my cupboard
  8. I'm not a huge fan of the Syd Barrett days, mostly because the music was so driven by drugs and experimentation that it's difficult to get into with a straight head. They were also big into the theatre of the music though visuals which was aided by the quality of acid they were taking. I love both Gilmour and Waters, each for different reasons. I agree that Gilmour is the sound of Pink Floyd, except for the Waters driven albums, The Wall and The Final Cut. I love Gilmour's style of playing which for me is about using the space around the music, and he just scuplts journeys through sound. Waters on the other hand is more intense and wants to say something. I love how he integrates various sounds and audio snippets to tell part of his story. My favourite album of all time is Amused to Death. It is a journey album for me and deserves to be listened to in it's entirety and loudly so that you hear all the sounds and things going on in the background.
  9. This is awesome !!! I can only wish to play guitar like that .... I would love to see Floyd live, alas ... I don't think that will happen. But at least I did see Roger Waters live.

  12. When I'm riding up in the mountain ... most definitely ... commuting to work ... 2 wheels with gears are just faster
  13. Thanks for the replies guys ... I understand that there are many factors that influence how long things last, I just wanted some info on what others have experienced so that I am a little more informed when making decisions on when I should look at replacing what ..etc ...
  14. Get a BB tool and just tighten it. It's more than likely just a little loose.
  15. Interested in the general consensus as to how long a drivetrain on a bike should last. Cassette, deraileurs, chain, etc .. before needing to be replaced. I've put a little over 4000km's onto my mtb that I use for commuting and the only thing I've done is replace the chain ...twice. The first after doing 2000km's I figured needed replacing. The replacement only lasted 200km's before snapping. Current chain has done almost 2000km's.
  16. "Revolution One" is a feature length documentary taking a look at the sport of off-road unicycling. The film combines current and historical footage from the last 30 years with interviews from pioneers of the sport. I have a biased view on the topic, but that aside, it is really awesome to see the birth of a sport, the beginnings and the possibilities. Seeing that mountain unicycling has only been around since the late 80's, early 90's almost everyone involved with the formation of the sport is around to tell their tale. http://vimeo.com/77156452
