  1. I tried Andrew but they don't have my size... I'm a size 17 and you know what they say about...ag nevermind
  2. I'm looking for someone or maybe a number for Just Fun Cycling. Someone who stocks the Lance 10/2 shoes. Mine have reached the end of a very un-successful career. Anyones help will be greatly appreciated!
  3. BikeMax, I suppose you reading the data off the wko file? I haven't had a chance to look at it. I think maybe you'll get more of an idea through the wko file rather than the interactive one. I'll check it later tonight. I don't have cyclingpeaks and I don't have a power meter and I don't have...*sigh*
  4. I suppose this "match" theory would not apply to a TT or would it? I'm thinking that in a TT you would be using one match and depending on your effort(s) over the distance that would determine your outcome. So basically it's more about consistent power (1 match) over say a 40km TT, or am I wrong? Would you still be using the "match" box theory.Jason2007-07-13 01:42:10
  5. Very interesting, so basically you have to use your "matches" carefully when racing. I need to get a bigger match box!
  6. Interesting... I see he only averaged 237W yesterday. What can we look out for bruce wrt to the power file? I see he only maxed 799W so Crux would of had him in his back pocket by a couple of meters... Thanks for this bruce, when Michelle decides to wake up today I can maybe download the *.wko file and import it in to Cyclingpeaks and have a better look, her laptop is locked and I'm not a hacker like Lance.
  7. Hey I studied 5 years to master my way round MSPAINT
  8. Just make a screen print and paste it in to MSPAINT and save it as a gif or jpeg.
  9. Gap is down to 7:28 Don't think this break will last. I do however think that when they catch these chaps a few counter attacks are gonna go off and that may succeed. They might still catch these guys before or going up the CAT 2 climb. Can't wait to get home to see the last few km's.Jason2007-07-12 08:15:34
  10. Preeeeecisely - I'll turn you into a power boy one of these days!!
  11. Check Klodens power to weight ratio... Quite impressive for a non-time trialer
  12. ... Ai ai. BikeMax, it's weird. I was on the trainer warming up. I do a 15 minute warm up and 5 minutes in to the warm up I was sweating (bubbles on my arms). My hearts at 85bpm and it's not like I'm getting hot... I feel pretty fresh but I just sweat... I'm scared to put the fan on cause it will be like rain inside the house. It's weird.
  13. Dick I have a few sessions that I work off... I also do 4 x 5min intervals with 3 minutes rest between each interval. I try and keep my HR between 90 - 95% of my max during the intervals and I usually average between 270 - 300W for the 5 minutes. Tomorrow I have a very very easy day and the Friday I rest and over the weekend I'm ready for LSD or if theres a race... then it's hang in for dear life. How long you been riding for?
  14. Malibu or Jack Daniels?!? Um, I'll try the fan thing sometime. It's just a little bit cold at the moment. I'll see if I can get my ave wattage up through this, if the cooling works.... from 105W to 130W... baby steps first. The thing is when you doing a 20 minute interval and then rest for 5 minutes the fan cools you down to a point where you just feel to cold to carry on... I'm also worried about getting sick.
  15. ... The sweating part... When I'm done with my session I look like a tennis ball that's been in a Rotwieler's mouth for a couple of minutes... seriously WET!! I don't use a fan cause it drys out my nose/mouth and I get sick. I prefer to sweat it out and then hop in to the bath straight after the session.
  16. ...and then you get those that are jealous and become suur-tiete like me and I suppose you oom H. It's training technology advancing like Lotus/Domino 6/7/8 from Lotus 1-2-3. Remeber you also got the latest PDA... is that not considered being yuppie? You were asking everyone on the HUB how to use it right? I say if the okes got R5k - R25k to blow on a power meter, let them. I do think this is the way to go wrt to training in cycling. I can't recall a pro still using HR as a method to train. I still do, but that's just because I don't have the moola to buy a power meter yet.
  17. Does Gummy still ride? The last time I saw him at Kyalami was in the year 1688 when the French Huguenot's were settling here at SA. Seuss, do you do any interval sessions on the IDT? Is it easier or tougher than on the road?
  18. It also depends if you're on a indoor trainer or out on the road. I'm not a power GURU but lately I'm really in to the whole power thing. I've been doing some interval training with Michelle's PowerTap and to maintain 300W on the indoor for 5 minutes is pretty tough. I'm at 90% of my max when I do these sessions . On the road I find it easier to maintain 300W and 200W on the road is pretty easy but then on the indoor trainer you have to work a bit to keep the 200W if you having a lighter session. Today I'll be doing 2x20mins and will be using the PowerTap again . Last time I maintained 270W for 20 minutes and then 260 something for the 2nd 20mins and this at a HR of 80-85% of my max I don't have a program so this is just my own thing I do so don't slander my k@k way of training
  19. Update your polar to the latest version
  20. That was the first and last time for Georgie, guess it was a case of seize the moment for him
