No Way in hell, Prepsol is causing your problem.............Been using it for years and years, to clean anything from MX Bikes, to bicycles, to mag wheels, even dirty MX kit, and never ever had an issue. The greenest area anywhere in my yard is the grass patch right where I wsh my MX bikes and bicycles etc, and thus see's a lot of Prepsol. If Prepsol is non caustic and non corrosive the Grass would die. And I wash and use probably a few litres of Prepsol a week. Have even washed dishes with it many times when we been away camping at race tracks etc over the years.

The 2M(pronounced Doish M(Dois is 2 in Portuguese)as you call it is from Mozambique, so transport cost here are not that heavy. The rest are overseas beers so shipping/transport costs are a lot more expensive. 2M is actually a very lekker beer. They have another one there called Manica, but thats a little stronger than the 2M.

More than likely ride off like that with the bike next to the car just until they around the corner then ,load it in the car or onto a waiting bakkie etc.

Anyone ever considered how tough and physically demanding Motocross is at a Professional level ? Riders like Ryan Villopoto, Ken Roczen, Ryan Dungey, Eli Tomac to name a few, would put most to shame in almost any form of fitness, including cycling. Trained by Aldon Baker, and Eli Tomac trained by his father, former World Champion mountain biker. These are some of the absolute fittest and gnarliest athletes in all professional sport without a doubt. Anyone want to challenge this, just google the worlds most physically demanding sports.

In this kind of Commercial event you pay for everything. A rider has to pay R200 for a Re-seed, to be put into a group where he most probably should have been in the first place. What chance you think someone who wants to be on the Expo has of showcasing their products to about 30 000 or more people who go through there all weekend ? The Exhibitors pay big money to be at the Expo, which is also why we are all forced, like it or not to go through the Expo to get out. There is not really any other way out, without fighting a security guard or two if you try to slip out without going past the Expo.

I don't see why they need different starting and ending points. Quite simple really.............Keep left and use common sense and exercise caution. Not necessary to go flying through there unless its a race, in which case everybody is going in the same direction.

Unfortunately it wasn't a tractor coming instead of that poor lady. Teach the idiot a lesson having a head on with a tractor in a tunnel.......................

I am going to be in Bloem that Saturday with some mates, racing a Motocross event, and seeing as we all cyclists as well, would love to do the OFM classic on Sunday before we come home. Anybody know if they accept late entries or entries at number collection ?

Probably the best solution you are likely to find. Someone somewhere has seen bicycle's going in and out the squatter camp or knows where they being hidden. Just needs to be put out there that they stolen and whats been happening and that there is a reward, and i will bet on it the problem gets sorted out very quickly.

What about handing out pamphlets to residents at the squatter camps. Bush Telegraph gets around very quick. Don't even need to give one to everybody either. Can also pay a couple of youngsters to hand them out in the area.

Funny how two small previously disadvantaged kids get found dead in a toilet in Diepsloot, and the Cops are in there like a flash once the mothers started protesting, and almost rioting. All of a sudden, a township that doesn't even have a police station, has Cops there in force, and has Politicians there making big speeches. The cops had 4 or 5 suspects inside a couple of days. Where did they get the intel from ? One of those they nabbed has apparently admitted to the crime. How does one get that kind of attention to this matter ? March, Protest, Riot and make the area ungovernable ?? Somehow i doubt the same swift police reaction would take place.

Not sure when you left, but when i left, probably somewhere around 10:30 or so, there most definitely was a traffic officer or marshall( i forget which one) at the T Junction where you turn right to lanseria or left to Harties.

Dunno what you think i see.............i saw same as you, and believe there is normally more than one side to story. If you read, and can understand my posts about it you would see i have been onjective about both party's sides. Bikers and the SUV driver. At no stage did i lay blame on anyone, as "we"(everyone on the hub) do not know the full or true story. Either way, it was bloody stupid and irresponsible behaviour from both sides, that leaves one paralysed, and a family traumatised. I finish with this question, that i hope you and the rest of the anti biker gang here will answer truthfully, yes or no answer. If the same happened to you, and someone had just ridden over a bunch of your mates on their bicycle's, even if you did throw the first finger, but the driver went nuts and mowed a bunch down, in his haste to escape, and you had an oppotunity right there and then to get hold of him and give him a PK, Would you ? Yes or no ? Probably not, after all this is South Africa, the most passive, and anti violence and caring country in the world where nobody ever gets road rage..........

Yeah right, which one do you think the victim is going to say "Yeah, i deserved what i got" or "I was out minding my own business when they picked on me for absolutely no reason whatsoever" ..........the victim is always gonna play the been bullied bit, rightly or wrongly so. There are two sides to every story and we have only really seen the wrong side which is the bikers on camera. Still no story on what happened to p!ss them off. Very very few people will ever just out the blue, pick on a random guy and his family in an SUV just to intimidate them. SUV driver may have done something, however small that the biker didn't like, and went overboard with his reaction. In saying that, some poor bloke, who had not done anything lies in hospital paralysed as a result of someone's stupidity. And to add, even before the biker swerved into the path of teh SUV, the SUV was in amongst them anyway, and way too close to a group of bikes for safety sake. Why didn't he just hang back a bit ? same as the idiots in cars that have to get past cyclists, no matter what.

Ok, for the record i do not condone the actions of the bikers. That is not the way to carry on. I never did and never will condone that kind of behaviour. I apologise if what i have said has been taken the wrong way in what i wrote. I simply get my back up when people generalise and put all bikers into the same bracket as being bad. I do exactly the same when people put all cyclists into the same bracket as being bad etc.
