I can tell you that these Quickrock units are not as reliable as you would think. Just replaced my third one, notified the supplier, no reply, so I'm going back to good old Shimano. Great product if you are being sponsored, otherwise an expensive experiment.

I mentioned previously that taking the distribution of this product to Omnico wasn't, in my opinion, an optimal decision. Well, true to nature, half the stuff is not available and now its a mad dash to get hold of product, whereas previously I just popped into my local Dischem. Ai tog!!

Unfortunately I have to report that I have now had to replace my QuickRock BB again, 3rd one. This one, a new design and all, lasted 900km and 6 weeks. Not a happy pup. Did message Stephen but no reply, so there..... Back to the tried and tested.

Time to start getting anxious about this "fun" ride. Any tips for a first timer, except needing legs and lots of it?? Tyre pressures, things, spares, extras to take with? thanks in advance!

1) Omnico is known for relative sh1tty service. 2) Not all bike shops will be included in this roll out except if they ask for the product. 3) There goes the use of a good product.

So get told by a very agro sales person at Diskem that they are discontinuing their stocking of Cadence due to bad/ non existent service from the guys at Cadence. Rather a shame seeing that it took so long to get them to stock it....

I would like to report back on my postings of yesterday. I have received both a phone call and my parts from Quickrock. An apology, together with an explanation was forwarded to me and I accept it as such. Thank you Stephen.

Hairy, I'm not out for a fight and I don't need to go into the details, however, the summary is as follows. Product fails twice. First time quick replacement, second time a lot of promises. Replacement "apparently" on its way since last week with a reputable courier company. Courier, however, has no records thereof and since yesterday my calls are not returned by Quickrock. Luckily I have all the records. So.......

Not very happy with their aftersales service. Empty promises and lies when it comes to commitments made by them.

I'm no downhiller, but this thing looks awesome.....
