Just two questions for Ecobound - Assuming we go THROUGH and not around how do you envisage getting your medical and other support personnel through with these levels of water? Whilst one doesn't mind roughing it up a bit I would like to know that there is some safety and support structures in place which will not come unstuck due to the current conditions. The second question, taking current weather predictions into consideration, is when will Ecobound finally decide on the route?

We had more than 40mm of rain in the last 24 hours in most parts of the Western Cape. If this rain follows through to the catchment area of the Baviaans we kinda scr$w$d as far as the old route is concerned. Hopefully the organisers will start thinking about changes earlier this year......

I suppose "mislik" isn't the correct word. It is just not the same WOW factor. The stats for the two races, as per the organiser "Langs Baviaans is definitely more difficult than the Trans Baviaans as you climb 2817m over 235km compared to 2540m over 224km for the Trans Baviaans". So, if you haven't done a "langs" you need to apply rule 5!

Sorry if I offended anyone by posting this article and possibly opening the whole wheel size debate again. It was merely intended to shed some light on the whole "maybe" aspect of the 650B and the fact that independent manufacturers are going this way.... So, moderators, close it down if so required.
