  1. Daryl has been really impressive this season & had a wonderful debut TDF. Wishing him all the best at the Olympics.
  2. I'm actually looking for a bike in the same price range as Mopkop... My range was originally R8k then R10k and now R14k but hopefully that is where it will settle. So I've read good reviews on both the Scott and Giant as well as the Merida big Nine XT-D. So since the actual specs all seem similar, my question would be, how would the group rate the Merida compared to those and if taking purely steeling into account and which of the three bikes would come out tops? I recently rode the Giant and it was really impressed but I'm still torn between all of these.
  3. Yeah i wasn't sure whether I should laugh or cry after reading this original post...
  4. True Slowbee... The Bicycle > sliced bread!

    Chris Froome

What are the chances of Froome being Sky's number one next year? No doubt this years Tour de France favours good time trialists with it's two individual TTs and distinct lack of mountain top finishes, but surely an on form Froome would domiate Wiggens in a race with say three killer mountain top finishes and only 50km or so of ITT. Bring back Contador and Schleck into the picture and Sky may have no choice but to back the stronger climber?
  6. Indeed, whoever runs the reserve needs to take action to stop criminals!
  7. Yes! If it can compete with Finish line, I'd be there often!!!
  8. Yeah I won't lie, this Sky team is incredible!
  9. How inconsiderate of your work! Any chance you can play embedded YouTube videos?
  10. Does point 2 and 3 mean that coming into the mountains, should Radioshack have had Andy Schleck on their team, they would have continued to back and support Cancellara instead of Andy? Obviously I know that the correct answer in that situation would be that point 1 would overturn point 2 and 3, but never the less, there is always a way to let your best man win.
  11. Well if there is any justice in this years tour de France Wiggins gears will jam in the final TT and his spare bike will get stuck on the roof of the Sky car.
  12. I now make that 3 (possibly 4) mountain stages that Chris Froome has had to sit up and wait for Bradley Evans. So is their any justice in the fact that thanks to Team Sky, the best rider in this years TDF will finish second?
  13. So guys, I now have no doubt that Froome is the best rider of the Sky squad this tour. However, apart from a storming performance in the final time trial, is there any way the team would allow him to beat Wiggins? Had he not been told to hold back on the final climb yesterday, I recon he could have pulled at least 30-40 seconds on Wiggins. What we really need is Froome to unplug his earphone and join a breakaway in the mountains
  14. Indeed! Helping out fellow riders, cycling with a smile on his face AND cycling like a machine! And then there is a certain arrogant, foulmouthed, rude British p#@ck on the Sky team who is carried by his strong team...
  15. Yeah Tuesday is the first rest day after the Monday TT.
  16. How cr@p are those new Sky yellow ventless helmets (see Cav in above pic)... It looks like they have borrowed them off a 12 year old skateboarder.
  17. Hey, I think all users alphabetically after "T" are missing from the score sheet.
  18. Well said! Sagan was like a leach yesterday.
  19. Hi Guys, I found this article on the bicycling.co.za site and it's a wonderful yet sincere read by Jens Voigt.
  20. A lot of the guys will do both. Cancellara for example is heading the Swiss Olympic team.
  21. Lance Armstrong may be in trouble again. An anti-doping agency accused him of using performance-enhancing drugs. Federal authorities got suspicious when they noticed an American was exercising. - Jimmy Kimmel
