  1. That bottom cable actuator bit usually un-screws, remove the cartridge...may give you some clues...something like this...

Similar thing happened to me on 105's...shifter just stopped working after getting it to change up to biggest gear...flipped hood back, removed plastic cover from bottom, checked outside side and yip, the cable stopper was out of its stopper bracket and was jammed up in the top of the mechanism...went to the inside, used a fine rod to push the stopper back to the outside and re-seated stopper into its bracket...on further investigation, I found the cable was actually mangled at a corner en route to the rear derailleur so it was not moving smoothly inside the housing after selecting gears resulting in the cable stopper jumping out of its bracket...replaced with new cable....

  9. Also.....Advice: get 2 sets wheels, one with slicks for the road and the other for SK's for da gravel!

  12. It's a spectacular place and for sure most of the DH trails are clearly MTB territory (I've enjoyed most of them on my AM bike) but that Irish is perfect for a gravel bike, the contour jeep tracks are also cool for gravel bikes but who wants to go back down the boring way!!???
