    Parktool Junk

I use the tooth brush and parafin and clean green or prepsol for the rest. I dont know much about other cleaners, learned that from working as a mechanic in a bike shop, it works and we used to buy the HUGE drums of prepsol en mixed it with water to save some costs)
  2. For me its kinda like, is the R100000 rand pinnarello really worth it? ) haha ...def not! unless you make money out of cycling and no one in RSA are getting rich by riding a bike. Non tubeless is fine and cheaper in lots of ways.

    Parktool Junk

using my chain remover twise wouldnt be considered workshop abuse, so yeah....It might be a dud... I emailed the guys in the states to see what they say.
  4. I've allways liked the parktool range of tools BUT for anyone out there cosidering buying a parktool multitool like the IB3 be warned, I fitted 2 chains and the chaintool is so badly damaged thats its basically useless.
  5. The gt av pro alu is the stiffest out there but heavy as @#$% 2kg just for the frame.
  6. Strange but true most pro races in this country were probably won by Raleighs , Malcom Lange won most of he;s races on a yellow one hehe. I think their just as fast as the fastest pinarello , even faster perhaps.
  7. I read their brackets are junky and their heavy on Juice, I ended up paying 800 bucks for a BLT firewire and I get 24 hours out of the little 4 watt LED on a set of 4 penlights. and its built mil spec.
  8. mmm ok so ur 80%sure, I need a bit more info before I buy a second hand xtr crank, the new xtr blades are around 1k a blad , at least PHEW
  9. The lights look nice but , phew the reviews on Blackburn.
  10. Hi, just wondering if any of you guys are using non xtr blades on xtr cranks and which blades will fit on say the M760 and m960 cranks
  11. Ive only lost 1 expensive bike of 30 k a while back after that day, I bought cables and padlocks, .... SSF class 2 padlocks!
  12. I really searched for spokes online and you can import spokes yourself at a fraction of the cost , and brands that most of us have never heard of even, and bling colours! And all this at a fraction of the cost, 4rand a spoke, now just to learn how to usa a spoke length calculater )
  13. Shimanos hate abuse ,3 hard races in the mudd and they look like...small iron balls haha..but I love them
  14. R2oo bucks new for a set of 520s
  15. I like the DT brand, just very expensive to buy at your lbs. To find the rigth length is a bit of a nightmare, you have to have the rims and hubs in hand to measure, the online charts are confusing. R15 rand a normal Dt spoke is insane even if its double butted. JPW#2009-09-25 07:24:57
  16. I love the Mavic rim's but their just too expensive these days, for half the price I bought a pair of DT's , not at the LBS though they want 1k for a DT rim...haha madness! CRC rocks!
  17. Any andvice and what spokes to use? and how much do they cost?
  18. Ok thanks guys. Will start building the new bike within the next week, then I still need to build my wheels and to get the right spoke length is turning out to be a bit of a nightmare.
  19. I'm just curious, I have no idea what my back brake system's caliper attachment is called, anyway to make a long story short I ordered a IS mount for the back, my question is will I have any problems fitting either system and will I need funny spacers and things? I used to work on V breaks and this will be my first attempt to build a new area bike.
  20. Hey thanks thats not bad at all.
