  1. Personally I will not do it again, it is a very long way go (from Pta) for a single day race. The route follows gravel roads, so not technical at all, the race is about the distance, I believe it used to be the longest single day race (before 361 and others). Now I prefer to save up and do one or two stage races each year. But the race sells out very quickly, so it is obviously popular...........
  2. Included: race, waterpoints. Excluded: All transport costs, accommodation, food (other than the water points). Did it in 2011 and once you add all the expenses at the end of the trip you get a real big shock....
  3. Same here, but this year I am doing Lowveld Quest and maybe the Cape Pioneer Trek.....
  4. Just entered, can't wait.
  5. Will be there
  6. I am with JCZA on this one, maybe give us a bit of discount for next year's entry? I agree that it wasn't the organizers decision but for us to loose a 60km stage is not fair.
  7. Also wondering where the results are.............
  8. Anybody seen the results posted somewhere?
  9. The two days we had so far were great, it is very unfortunate that we were not allowed to ride (even a fun ride) today, feeling very miffed about it. Also feel that the organizers could have done a bit better to give us some alternatives, maybe an option to ride today's stage on Tuesday, or maybe some form of discount on next year's entry?. It is really a very long way to come for a 35km, 48km and 60km race. Still looking forward to tomorrow's stage, but not sure if I will come back next year.....
  10. Four hours at work then I am off to Sabie for a wet, muddy but wonderful four days of riding. Hopefully the Mamba is easier this time round...... See you all there!
  11. See you there, hope the weather improves, otherwise we are going to have a wet, muddy ride, which I guess is also fun.....
  12. Joberg2c they wanted a printed proof of your 2013 CSA membership
  13. Is this during weekdays as well, or only on Saturdays?
  14. Hey Lapa I travel a lot for work, but when I am in Pta, I would be keen to join. Stay in Wilgers area, where do you ride from and what pace? I only do MTB though.
  15. Thanks Lexx. I am working out in the Kaalrug mountains but will have a look at where you route goes. I think it is the same road that goes to Serenity Mountain Lodge. Will give it a try
  16. Ha ha, I am actually going to cycle up the vehicle road. Got permission today, so tomorrow at 5am I am going up (and down the same road). Not crazy enough to do the downhill track.
  17. My bike can handle anything.......Scott
  18. I am here for work, did some riding in Sabie over the weekend, and now my bike is here with me, so very sad to have a bike and not being able to ride.
  19. Does anybody know of a nice route (mtb) in Malelane? Here for the week and would really like to do a ride or two but don't know where to ride or where it is safe? Any advice will be appreciated!!
  20. Scott spark 910
  21. And who is sorry now!??!??? Waiting for lots of Kudos!! LOL LOL.
  22. I am one of the "non chippers"...I can't see how you charge R300 for an entry and then ask another R120 for a chip to have an official time. Sorry, had to rant, but feel better now!
  23. Ditto............also got sub entry and started in last group. Was super frustrated going up ou wa pad. Also came in just under 5, so we must have been very close to each other. Since I was down in the Western Cape for work I am glad I did the race, but will not do K2c again.
  24. Whooop hoop, I am the climbing leader (for last week, I think)..............
