Turning to headwind from Sutherland, and about 80km to go for Drikus.

Chalk it up to year-end fatigue and a difficult financial/political/any other relevant context. (0-time Munga finisher)

An aside: Anyone close to the Munga organisers/Erik doing the live broadcasts, that can ask him to tilt the phone or something when interviewing people... An external mic would be great.

Drickus is flying, hope he can keep it up.

Was also thinking about it, given the TT bars on most mtbs... If you a mid pack or not going to win, I would say a mtb with TT bars? If you're at the pointy end then gravel? Just to be a bit different, Nicky (one of the greats) doesn't even have TT bars.

Jip it is a 160mm, do you think going to 180mm would make a difference?

Reviving an old thread and looking for some help, to confirm whether I maybe missed something... Am I right in saying the Momsen GP300 also actually has a post mount front brake system similar to the Farr (and not a flat mount like specified on the website). Without thinking I ordered a flat mount ZRace brake system from Aliexpress, but trying to fit them to the GP doesn't work, apologies for the poor photo quality. The bike comes with TRP Spyre C mechanical brakes. I was thinking of ordering one of these Aliexpress adapters, as I can't seem to find anything local... Seems like the road the Groot Vadersbosch area might be closed/under the water. At some point the guys decided to turn back to Heidelberg and ride an alternate route. Still bucketing down... Congrats to those who have reached the 1st finish line and those on their way to Nam, still a long way to go!

A lot of guys between niks and nêrens in the rain. James Trubshaw is 60km odd out from Swellendam and the rain is steady. Signal can be few and far between, like accommodation... Hope everyone is ok and pushing through/finding shelter.

Benky a 180km ahead and on his way to Ceres, I see they've added the 2022 time markers. Some ways behind that, but not sitting idle.

Hey Jarrad, can't recall, did Dryland not offer any suggestions? My only other thought would be to contact the bike shops in the George area (Coimbra/Ride Life/etc) and find out if any club members or the like are traveling through and can offer you a lift.

Thanks for sharing, so 18 riders finished with Benky winning by a 3hr margin (in 22h25?) and no ladies? Edit: I completely forgot it was on to be honest... Hopefully Le Hub will get a thread going for the Rhino Run.
