  1. In the Free State, I believe you have a few options: http://www.pygaindustries.com/dealers.html
  2. PYGA actually recommends 120-1300mm for the OneTen, it's the OneTwenty which prefers a 130-140mm setup. That being said, I would run a 140mm Revelation on the OneTen without qualms. It would slacken the HA just enough to suit the kind of riding that extra 20mm will encourage. Would be a good match I reckon
  3. I forgot about this setup! A long time ago, I did some reading up. Apparently, it wears really quickly because the force applied is out of proportion to the number of degrees of rotation, so only a few of the bearings carry all the load. It's worth a shot though, I'm going to see if I can get hold of a kit and see how it holds up.
  4. Important point. I've found the only stiction to be at the shock eyelets. Seeing as they're (as on almost all bikes) not bearing-mounted, they don't pivot perfectly smoothly unless they're only partially tightened. Not fully tightening them of course means that they very quickly rattle loose. Not an ideal setup. I'm going to experiment with Loctite, but I don't know if it will hold things in place solidly enough in a partially tightened state...
  5. I have to admit, the green is pretty cool. Brushed gives it that "this may be a prototype" look though!
  6. I did a full write-up for those interested: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/137911-pyga-oneten29-full-review/
  7. I promised a while ago that I'd write a full review of the PYGA OneTen29, having given my first thoughts here. What follows are my opinions after about 150km of varied riding. Click here to view the article
  8. The Xar isn't half as bad as some seem to think. I have one, and it's incredibly comfortable. Yes, it doesn't have the coverage of the Super, but it's just as well vented and just slightly heavier than a proper XC lid.
  9. And not endurance?
  10. Active Monkey, why do you specifically want wheels which are a step up from these? Are you looking for a set that's lighter? Do you want increased stiffness (not always a good thing)? Do you not like the sound of the freehub? Don't you like the way they look?
  11. Don't forget about their special foam grips.
  12. You don't think it may have something to do with the fact that they're both primarily XCO riders? Their wheel sizes are irrelevant.
  13. Finally the Avid fans can stop defending their kit and just bin it like they've secretly wanted to do all along...
  14. Yep, fact.
  15. Interesting. I wouldn't run it much past 30%, to be honest. The risk of bottom-out damage is too high...
  16. Nice review. On the point of rear travel use, how much sag did you run the shock with? I run the recommended 30% on my OneTen29, and find that I pretty much use all the available travel during hard-pushing rides, without bob being an issue.
  17. Eish, no, I am not afraid of peaches.
  18. Well, yes and no. I guess "primarily" is the operative word here... Even though I can afford to ride one, I still cringe!
  19. Amazing, and it's a Mongoose to boot('r)! (See what I did there?)
  20. Hah, when I tire of the PYGA. At this point it seems like that will be, erm.... *never*. Yes, I still owe a full review of the bike and the Rev. Not. Enough. Time. Damnit!
  21. Absolutely. I've taken part in many a debate on this topic around here, always to be told I'm wrong by the S-Works crowd McLaren P1. Not much to be said about this machine. It speaks for itself.
  22. I cringe to think of losing R30-R40k's value on a bike in a week. It's nuts, if you're patient and smart you can build up a pretty nice trail weapon with that kind of money.
  23. Hell yes. That T275 is a proper bike.
  24. If you happen to check back here (no worry if you don't), I don't see an "add to cart" button on the GoPro Naked Hero's page: http://www.cwcycles....mera-naked-hero Would like to order it but wanted to check whether it's still available at that price? EDIT: I received a reply from Wayne, thanks!
  25. Thanks Chris, I was wondering why no one had replied to my email... Hopefully it's all back up soon!
