Hmmm, I've just realised that it seems all the new-fangled times-1 cranksets come without chainrings (with exception to chainsets like XT, which is why I guess they're called *chainsets*). Yep, but it's about a grand more than X01 from CRC (who keep on being out of stock)... (Plus, I need the stealth black X0 colours to match the new shifter and derailleur, naturally... )

I can definitely believe that. Because of the speed factor, the Gully is quite possibly the most insane piece of track I've seen in real life. Standing up close watching Ropelato gun it through there in practice was ridiculous. Seriously ridiculous.

Put it this way: Nino flicked through the corkscrew faster and with more style than most guys on all-mountain/enduro bikes could ever wish to. It was insane. Seeing him dominate that section in real life was humbling, to say the least.

Ended up trying to stay with her on a 6km climb in a race when I was at peak form a few years ago. Almost died, and she dropped me as we crested anyway. She's a machine!

20% is a pretty significant weight saving, it's almost 100g. That, and SLX looks way better with the larger cogs mounted on the spider.
