  1. One of the funnest runs in SA (in my opinion) shared via GoPro:
  2. We were at kids' party in the tea garden and saw an ambulance driving up through the gate (behind a bakkie) around 15h30, not sure what happened after that...
  3. For interest's sake, where are you from DJpak?
  4. Roger that. Also, Fox's Ranger shorts are pretty good too, I recently bought a pair. Although they're not quite Dakine's Syncline (these are amazing, albeit pricey), they're very good value.
  5. Yeah, he's a cool guy My girlfriend has a picture of me and Danny at last year's champs on her desk, she's really looking forward to meeting him (and cheering) in Leogang!
  6. Downhillers are a slightly different breed. Stevie Smith and Gwin for example are two of the most chilled guys imaginable, same goes for Danny Hart (something I didn't expect when meeting him). The only DHer who really does the PR thing is Gee. He's a seriously motivated and competitive guy, being nice isn't really his thing.
  7. Looking good! Would you mind giving us a rundown of your build spec?
  8. The cool thing about Oak Valley's singletrack is how safe and easy it is at a relaxed pace. There's nothing really scary, it only becomes challenging if you decide to up the pace quite drastically. Take her along! We're heading out there ourselves on Saturday morning...
  9. Train from Padua, Italy to Leogang, Austria booked for the WC weekend. Finally, the entire trip is in place!
  10. I know, I felt silly the first time I admitted this as well. Now, I wouldn't trade my OneTen29 for any other bike out there.
  11. Aha. I noticed a few sprightly segment times show up on Strava over the weekend...
  12. Ah OK, my bad...
  13. IMHO it's not worth fiddling with adapters, throw away or sell the existing BB (if you already have one) and just get a full new press fit GXP BB. It's a "normal" GXP bottom bracket except that it doesn't screw in.
  14. BTW, what shoes are those he's wearing?
  15. You left out most of the other guys on full sussers...
  16. +1 Naas, I'd likely be in for a Magic Mary Trailstar (Snakeskin) if you could determine a price, instead of a Muddy Mary.
  17. That looks like a large, PYGAs just have really good standover height so they seem smaller than they are.
  18. Not sure of the speeds. Almost all riders are clipped in, only Mr Hill is gunning it on flats.
  19. I know, just how hot is this? I couldn't help snapping a wide-angle pic last weekend after a ride in Robertson...
  20. Haha, no intended psychology! It's simple really, a bike either suits you or not. The PYGA likes to be thrown around - if that's not your thing, you'd probably enjoy a lighter bike more. (I'm only being kind to the Niner because it's an above average piece of kit )
  21. Go for the Niner then. The fact that you used the words "don't mind" to describe how you tackle jumps and technical sections means that the Pyga's personality will probably not be the winning one in a match between these two machines.
  22. A simple question: Do you like popping your bike off little trails obstacles in a constant quest for airtime?
  23. Yeah, I've always been of that opinion. Strangely, the 26" Stumpy lines flow a bit nicer and it doesn't end up with this "clumsy" look. It's almost like a really beefy guy took a wheel in each hand and bent both upwards with the poor frame stretched in the middle.
  24. Do you have enough bling to go with it?
