  1. I don't mean to nitpick but I view it differently. For me it starts with yourself/oneself: if you don't accept the bribe/choose not to run the red traffic light/choose not to drink and then drive etc. life will be better for all around you. It's not a big decision to make, but if everyone makes the same responsible decision, it makes a big impact. Yes, as a laaitie you got moered if you climbed the neighbour's tree to steel his fruit after your toppie warned you not to do it, but we are all supposed to be adults capable of making adult decisions. We shouldn't need a stick. I know, Utopia right? sigh....
  2. we all forget that we live in a country where our president has to close all legal booze shops because we as citizens cannot exercise self-control... condolences to the friends and family of the fallen, we cannot choose our time to leave this planet, we can only control what we do while we're orbiting the sun.
  3. peeeeeeektjas..... please?
  4. This is almost as funny as watching JZ's attorney pronounce the word "solely"...
  5. i will create a special gmail account for him...
  6. i still say organise a barny when the driver rocks up....
  7. why dont you drop his number and email address here then we can all email him with bikes we are looking to sell? 😈
  8. This is what happens if you are not fit enough. Wonder how many of these chaps would be able to keep up with Hansie in a bleep test? I say the above somewhat in jest - I know the Paarl heat extremely well, its lethal! First time ever in my life I got cramps while bowling was in the Paarl heat, funny not funny. And yes, Hansie would have kicked my ass in a bleep test!
  9. This is precisely why I said I think it’s a mistake to select him for the ODI series. But honestly I also think CSA is so desperate to make the Proteas attractive for sponsorship they they are willing to sacrifice player well-being for the cause.
  10. How the duck Sisanda Magala can be deemed fit enough to play international cricket is beyond me. Is he attending the Richard Levi Pie Eating Acadmy?
  11. For me its not the relevance of the SJN hearings that’s in question, but the motivation behind the participants. Someone like Paul Adams who himself wrote that at the time he did not think anything of the comments being made, it was only once his girlfriend pointed it out to him that he decided to come forward - hey???? (So she was offended on his behalf or what???) Then we have Tsolekile, Tsotsobe, Telemachus et al who all have valid reasons for not being selected but because the platform was created to be misused decided to jump on the bandwagon. And dont even start me on Nkwe again… Again, we saw what happened at Yorkshire so I don’t disagree that there’s a need to ‘rehabilitate’ cricket. But some of the players are really taking the piss.
  12. Apologies my old friend. I was just being facetious. You deserve a better reply. Let me give it another shot. Your point regarding the BCCI is of course very valid. And if we can introduce the same glamour to the Freedom cup that we see in The Ashes for example, of course we stand to gain a lot. But therein lies my frustration: not 10 years ago we were the no.1 test team in the world and even then we had to settle for mostly 2 and 3 match series’ which is completely unfair in my view. Yet we see that whenever any of the Big 3 play a series its almost always at least 3 matches, and when they play each other its never not 5 matches. Think back to the number of times we have played 2 match series’ - that is just complete nonsense in my view. Add to that how the entire Future Tours schedule is planned around the IPL window and the damage that IPL cricket is doing to test cricketers (yes this is another point that almost deserves its own paragraph, but for quick reference listen to David Gower’s interview after the recently concluded Ashes series), and one cannot ignore the obvious. Jarrod Kimber’s investigation into the nefarious doings of the BCCI in the acclaimed documentary further adds to my argument. On India, I am very honest about my opinion of them as a whole. It started with MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli is just a continuation of the arrogance that was borne from their perceived view that they control world cricket ever since they invented the IPL and as a result, the schedules of the best players in the world are also being dictated for selfish gains. Respect Shebeen. Keep on keeping me honest. 😉
  13. and lets not forget said Paul Adams coached WP into the ducking ground and was EVENTUALLY asked to p...s off because he was as...
  14. sorry mate, I just emptied my tank on the last post.... whats a binary?
  15. you see but none of those guys are currently in the way of transformation - read: employing a useless halfwit on the basis of his skin colour. I mean how can you justify employing a nobody in Nkwe over someone like Bouch given the lack of experience in the current teams??? WTF has Nkwe ever done to make him more qualified for the job???? OK so he coached a team of superstars to win 3 trophies in 3 years of piss flavoured domestic cricket, along with playing 40 odd games for a franchise VS someone with nearly 450 international caps (ODI + Tests) to his credit along with 1000 international dismissals??? Woosaaaaaa...... AD is happy coaching his beloved Free State and doing the odd stint here there and everywhere (If I ever run into him at Paarl Golf Club I will freak the shti out and once I recollect myself I will ask him for the inside scoop, my absolute hero that guy! - his house is behind one of the tee's...) Big Mac, he's just chilling and probably still laughing at the Aussies k@kking themselves when he supposedly brought an AK47 into their changeroom looking for SK Warne. Hudders, classy batsman, the kind of guy you want your daughter to bring home...
  16. it seems that add is/was prophetic because I see no way for Bouch to survive the scourn of the SJN circus. a Bakers Kid will make a better coach than the Nkwe-voël... and just as we started to get the ball rolling forward again. FFS!!!!!!!
  17. Watch this Brevis laaitie. He’s got some strokes!
  18. Ag shame… 🤣🤣🤣
  19. She’s a very good writer/student of the game.
  20. Spot on! I forgot to say that I think Jansen shouldn’t be playing in the ODI series, purely because he is still very young and we don’t want to be overloading him this early in his career. I would like to see him ply his trade in the longer format, maybe because I’m a purist, but also maybe because playing mik-en-moer cricket won’t help him develop into a top test bowler where bowling consistent lines end lengths and staying patient is a skill on its own. That’s just my thoughts on that. Kudos to Mpitsang for pulling the young man in when they did though, but look after him, being a leftie he is a precious commodity! He has such a pure bowling action coming right over his front leg, and that is where real pace comes from. I watch a lot of test cricket and I see so many bowlers with a bend in their front leg, that’s where injuries start but also where pace is lost. Another shoutout to Ngidi, looking at his performances in this series he has really stepped up a notch. Lastly, agreed about Temba, he did make crucial runs. I like your suggestion of swopping him and Rassie, let’s see what the future holds. As you so rightly mention, lots to be positive about.
  21. I must be honest I quite enjoy Cummins as the new Aussie skipper...
  22. HHAHAHAHHAHAHA
  23. another sidenote: Kohli has not been having it all his way with the BCCI for the last while, there's some friction there after the whole ODI captaincy debacle and all that, and given that Kohli himself has not scored a 100 for almost 2 years now, MAYBE there's a chance they will stop treating him like and Indian Jesus...
  24. correct, the sponsors logos we saw on the field were all Indian companies as far as I know. we don't even have a f...ing sponsor on our shirt anymore!!! no thanks to the ADMINISTRATORS who ducked everything up properly!
