  1. I agree
  2. The poms dont have the arsenal to win this Ashes. Poor captaincy, poor team selection, poor fielding, weak batting line-up.
  3. I hope you are right. Maybe I am expecting a little too much of him, given that he has the CORRECT surname. One can dream I suppose... Masekind is really crap, just goes to show what money can do. Same goes for Lance just-Strolling-around.
  4. ja-no, even in jest, this is a stupid thing to say.
  5. another one of those typical british pundits, I feel the same about Jackie Stewart. here's a question: with F1 cars being so low to the ground, do you drive OVER someone or UNDER someone in a hit and run? asking for a friend...
  6. lastly for me the disappointment of the season must be Schummi Jnr, sadly.
  7. oh and can someone please slap Nico Rosberg off of the tv for me please, ffs....
  8. he decided to spice things up apparently...
  9. I woke up this morning with a smile when I remembered 44 did NOT win the championship.
  10. but he is the prodigal son, and somehow he has already earned the right to have an opinion on anything and everything, are we surprised? I'm putting this out there: there is no way they will allow Georgie Porgie to challenge 44 until 44 has secured his 8th title. Valteri Bottas wasn't a slower driver, his car was slower. for me the highlight of the season is Sainz finishing ahead of Le Frog in the driver's champs. Never liked the Frogman, moans just about as much as 44. I think Sainz is my new favorite driver. #foreverferrari and then there is this: goodbye legend, you gave us our last title.
  11. corrected that for you
  12. Thank f....k that gate was closed when we got there...
  13. personally I don't think that would be a good move: most of the people that I know that are members of the Botties Trails ride there on a daily basis, with the odd excursion out to Jonkies; to then pay R2000 plus for that would make no sense in my opinion. I wouldn't go for that, unless the option is to have a localised permit aside from the all inclusive permit. I would still only buy the localised permit as I am literally 5mins from the trails and I'm happy to pay the daily rate whenever I go to Dirtopia/Jonkies/wherever.
  14. @christovdw and myself did this bastard last year, its a beach of a climb... 3 hrs up, 20mins down...
  15. “It was a pitch with a lot of grass on it,” said Ambrose. “It was a difficult pitch to bat on. It was conducive to fast bowling, and I was really on top of the Australians. Steve Waugh got 60-odd in the first innings and he played very well. On a normal day that could have been 150. But he was struggling, playing and missing a lot and he got frustrated. One of my teammates told me as I was walking back, because I’d given him a stare, and then I go back to my mark, and one of my teammates told me ‘Steve Waugh said to “Eff off”, or “Eff off and get back to my mark”, or something along those lines. But honestly I didn’t hear him.” It was only after the interval that Ambrose’s anger bubbled over. “After the break, I bowled at him again and he kept missing. So as I follow through, something snapped in me” he said. “I asked him the question, ‘Did you swear at me?’ And he didn’t say yes, he didn’t say no, he just said “I can say whatever I want to say” and that to me was a yes. And that’s when all hell broke loose. And I said to him, ‘I don’t have to play cricket, I have no career left, I will knock you out right here and now. And if they ban me, I don’t really care.’ But of course I didn’t say it that gently, there were a few expletives in between. I was really heated.” https://wisden.com/stories/curtly-ambrose-didnt-hear-steve-waugh-comment-that-nearly-sparked-punch-up
  16. HAHAHA! Gotta love Sir Curtly! Edit: You know that guy is a real gentle giant. Didn't often see him p-ed off, except for that one time at band camp (Port of Spain) against a certain Mr Waugh... joh that was rof. Test Cricket at its finest!
  17. put it in my bidon?
  18. kids these days wont know what that pic is about
  19. jis I didn't even see that, and to think this was handed out at a church golf day as part of a local law firm's goody bag! mmm, I have an idea...
  20. Can someone please explain to me what in the hell this is? It formed part of a goodie bag at a golf day I played in last week…
  21. hell no... I wish...
  22. All of a sudden I'm worried about an incident in 2005 where I sent an England U/19 batsmen to the shower with some directions as to how to wash his hair after I cleaned him up. My English team mates were pissing themselves because they thought the shower gesture above my head had something to do with monkeys (they thought I was going off in Afrikaans). Needless to say when I came in to bat without a helmet, I could park off comfortably on the back foot; the good old days... beers after the game was par for the course. What happens in the middle stays in the middle. Jeez, only time in my life I was given a warning was in England, second ball of the innings I sent one past the batsman's ears and the local umpire warned me for intimidating bowling.... I said wtf its not like he's a number 11 batsman, plus you're allowed 2 short balls in an over. He just stood there and said, first warning. I gave my skippers a hard time that's for sure And this coming from the country that introduced Body Line to the game... JASS how I miss those years...
  23. Seems CA knew about his tollie-gate when they appointed him after Sandpapergate. ????
