  1. i have been called a bigot many times on here. sticks and stones...
  2. they walk among us... they are in fact the poetheth
  3. it is deplorable what he did, no question, but the level of f@ktapness to troll this guy's social media history on the day of his test debut just in order to piss on his parade is next level f@ktap. as a 21yo (back in 2000) i almost got my teeth kicked in at work one day for behaving the way my conservative parents raised me. that day was a watershed moment for me and ive learnt to unlearn the ways of Vorster/Verwoerd et al. and the guy almost responsible for rearranging my teeth is my best friend today. go figure...
  4. There’s an old club mate of mine playing T20 in NZ. He really wasnt anything special, but he made the move and it worked out for him so i guess kudo’s are due. T20 was never really my thing, i preferred the multi-day redball games. Bit more of a test in my opinion. Different strokes for different folks i guess. In my humble opinion, cricket is played with a red ball ????
  5. Must say, i emailed them this afternoon and they were quick to reply. Getting the ball rolling so lets see how it goes. Broad shoulders not yet required ????
  6. thanks my man, ja I just sent them a mail so I'm waiting on their response because I am aware that it needs to be done within one year. if I have no luck with them its your fault
  7. how does that work? presumably they don't work for free? I've also been waiting since June 2020...
  8. some highlights: https://www.ecb.co.uk/video/2153282/highlights-kent-vs-glamorgan-day-2-lv-county-championship-2021?references=CRICKET_TOURNAMENT:22584&utm_source=FBPAGE&utm_medium=LV%3D+Insurance+County+Championship&utm_content=100002083686318%2B&utm_campaign=County+Championship+2021
  9. Darren has been playing county cricket for 25 years can you believe? That knock of 190 is quite an amazing achievement, so is a career spanning that long.
  10. on my HT i ride anything from gravel travel to trails (Dirtopia, Bottelary, Jonkershoek), like I said, no issues. There was a thread about some of the new Shimano derailleurs needing a clutch service as the factory grease was insufficient or something. I cant speak for the XT, only the SLX - mine works, no problems. as mentioned by others, a clutch service is simple. Youtube is your friend. And its much cheaper than replacing or even getting a bike shop to "try and fix it" - I service my own bikes, lesson learnt.
  11. installed my SLX in August, done about 1100km (I'm mostly on the roadbike these days) through all kinds of weather and it has not given me any clutch trouble (touch wood). the only issue I had was when riding in rain, the cables get a bit sticky as my HT does not have internal cable routing. I solved that problem by installing a continuous cable housing. clutch still perfect. maybe I'm lucky...
  12. Die Vierde Kabinet, on Youtube... I love those old series! Arsenaal next! Wish there was somewhere to download it from. Youtube quality not very good.
  13. a keeper shouting "bowler's end" is VERY FAR from deception. a keeper faking the gathering of a throw-in and breaking the stumps, that is deception. ask MS Dhoni... this entire thing is a storm in a teacup, and the aussies should shut up completely when it comes to the topic of "spirit of the game". they have lost all moral high ground in this regard. END OF.
  14. Super excited about next weekend, we can start showing again! Cape Rottweiler Club is hosting their Championship show and Quintus will be competing in the SA bred category. He’s bulked up a bit since I’ve upped his portions from 1,2kg to 1,5kg of Doggobone. His father, who was a Champion Dog and the most gentle of rotties I’ve ever come across, passed away a few weeks back so Im hoping to add to his legacy.
  15. ???????????????????????????????? this made my year! Dik funny! ????????????????
  16. Apologies if this is the wrong thread to ask this question: any feedback on the Garmin Instinct? I have a garmin 500 head unit, works like a dream. Just looking to get something for the odd run and possibly to be a backup when i find myself with a dead head unit. The solar version is selling for R7999, its kind of just within my price point. My Gshock is current, but it would be nice to have something a bit more geeky ????
  17. Super Rant on: What a load of k@k... so England didn't invest millions in their one day cricket to achieve success, it just happened out of the blue because their captain willed it to happen? wat 'n pot k@k... I don't understand how people think: CSA is in shambles and their finances are non existent, we keep losing our best players to IPL/overseas contracts, we cant employ the best coaches because of their tan but our captain believes we can emulate the English "resurrection"? oh FFS Bill... just f&cking kill me now... https://www.news24.com/sport/cricket/proteas/can-proteas-emulate-englands-post-2015-odi-revolution-20210330
  18. I seem to recall maaany pages back, a discussion as to why Midnight Oil was banned in SA (it might also have been the "do you remember" thread, I cant remember - the irony It seems their hit Beds are Burning was written after the band toured through the Outback and witnessing the injustices against the Aboriginal Tribes lead to the band wanting to speak out. One can see the parallel with the political situation in SA at that time (1986/7), and then its not difficult to see why their music was unwelcome. I was 7 years old in '86, to me this is just a great song, period. https://www.newframe.com/political-songs-beds-are-burning-midnight-oil/ https://www.songwritingmagazine.co.uk/how-i-wrote/beds-are-burning-midnight-oil
  19. that oke wit the hook can like to play a mean didgeridoo. great song
  20. He’s aged quite a bit and not as nimble as he used to be, but he’s still funny as hell! ????
  21. the good old days hey Shebeen? haha... our first team coach took us to the game in the team bus haha...
  22. ...which takes me back to this game back in 1993. as a 14yo laaitie our first team got to skip school to go see this match... boy there were some names in those 2 sides! I remember walking onto the field at the interval and pacing Patrick Patterson's bowling strides... haha... crazy! https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/total-international-series-1992-93-60936/pakistan-vs-west-indies-9th-match-65959/full-scorecard
