  1. Doing nationals in Feb was rough. Less oxygen + dirty air!
  2. July in France, August in JHB, then back to CT... Sjoe!
  3. If only there was a surefire way for great events to get part of the financial kickback from the town to make things financially viable...
  4. I see SiSu added the requested info to their product page on the website. Hub forces doing its thing. 😁
  5. Planned route change due to flood damage, but now cancelled due to the incoming weather... 😫
  6. Lot's can change in 5 days. Let's hope the rain shifts out by a couple of hours...
  7. Roadie skills on a gravel bike, reporting for duty sir. 🫡
  8. The Strava route is on the website, and this is the details of the downhill segment that starts when we leave the smooth Bainskloof tar behind.
  9. Entered. Fingers crossed for dry roads. 1.4km at -11% on gravel sounds scary enough as it is! 😱
  10. If it's functional drop it in a donation bin at a bikeshop.
  11. I've only used it on the gravel bike. Will need to change tyres on gravel and road bike soon...
  12. 😢 Just bought one. What's the issue? Should I switch back to Stan's Race?
  13. Golden Cheetah FTW. Couldn't be simpler and lots of great tools for data nerds on top.
  14. Couldn't find the broadcast, knew hub knowledge would save me!
  15. Durbie Dash for sure is one of the OG organisers keeping the sport alive. I would have loved it if it was possible to end the elite race on a circuit of some sort. Make the distance longer and give the other riders opportunity to watch the racing after finishing their own race. Not possible for this or any other venues really though.
  16. And Durbie Dash also has a gravel option. I wonder to what extent the clashes are due to gravel falling under MTB instead of road, or if they would have managed to mess it up any way. Gaps in the calendar and then double booked weekends. 🙁
  17. With the amount of roadies doing gravel and with so few road events, it's a pity this is the day before Boland 100 Miler, on of the few road events of the Spring season. I enjoyed this same race format at Eroica, so it's a pity to miss out on this one.
  18. Not sure how I feel about the "take part in only one day or spend the weekend" approach for some reason...
  19. All brakes are mechanically actuated. Question is if it's cable or hydraulic.
  20. Jeepers. What is end of life km?
  21. Also couldn't get into the golf one...
  22. Didn't know they offer a gravel event also...
  23. Eish... And that's not counting the post race washing required...
  24. Any insight why this happened? September looks quite barren on my calendar (road + gravel). Hoping some more events will be announced...
