  1. One hell of a race report for a fun ride...
  2. Hi Guys I would like to tap into your collective fountain of coffee knowledge. I'm currently looking at getting a machine and grinder for around 10k. A mate of mine has a Breville combined espresso machine and grinder. It pulls a decent shot and is in my price bracket. What is your guys opinion of it and would you recommend something else instead maybe like a combo? Thanks Luke
  3. Hi Guys, My Quarq XX1 is playing up a bit. Ive been using it for a few weeks and is having huge drifts in the zero offset values when doing manual calibrations. I'm talking drifts of 200+ per ride. Anyone experiencing a similar issue?
  4. You an use it for training. Especially interval sessions as its often safer to do it off road in this country. Also it is really useful in a race to use to pace as well as to analyse post race.
  5. Its Quite simple if your getting stuck behind people on single track the train harder and HTFU. If you are blocking people in single track then have a few beers pre race, does wonders for your ST riding .

Ya the same thing happened to a kid at the spur school series on the same day in front of my eyes. Was a very similar incident however in this case the guy was knocked over in the sprint out of the blocks.
  7. Drop me a PM if you want the spriut fairies account details. The two guys working are normally Wilson and Noel. The Spruit Fairy is currently working on some awesome new single track in Melville koppies so watch this space.
  8. 13 including a 1 hour recovery/enduro ride.
  9. My Week TSS - 815.7 IF - 0.81 Good week, getting some form back after prelims.
  10. Some feedback from myself and some of the other junior racers in the 40km race was that in general the route was awesome. We loved the climb and all of the single track. 3 suggestions to make the race more enjoyable and safer are: Put decently sized climb in the first 5km(not as big as the main one). This will allow the race to split up a bit and avoid one huge bunch of riders who do not know how to ride well in a bunch together, this will also lower the high amount of crashes that happened in the group on the long tar section. Take us down some single track or a dirt road off the main climb as that cement decent proved very dangerous with 2 people in the lead group of 4 sliding out in the first 100m. This will not only be safer but also a whole lot more fun as we know that you guys have awesome single track. Keep the awesome single track that we rode it really made it a proper MTB race I personally loved the race. I hope that you understand where I am coming from with these points as it will lead to safer and more exciting racing Google
