    Sounds like Metatarsalgia - sometimes known as a stone bruise, google it and look at the stretches and exercises you can look at to help it.

    Don`t worry I am to. I rode the exact same one as yours a couple of weeks ago at Magoebaskloof and what can I say - I was blown away - hell it felt good !!

    As a matter of interest my Flash (Scalpel with the rear suspension locked ) also can only take a 34t.

    I know a couple of guys who regularly took a power washer to their MTB`s and ended up with pretty much the same symptoms Me, bucket of hot water with sunlight

    I have 3 x Good Condition Springbok shirts to swop for any Sharks shirts. The Sharks are at least recognizing they have issues and putting things in place to rectify it. It is so difficult and stressfull to be a Bok Supporter these days !!

    With that small frame of both the rider and the bike not sure if the setup will meet the UCI minimum weight restriction !!

    Wolfie the Flash 29er takes a 168 q factor crank. Riding buddy of mine found out the hard way when he tried to fit a 156.

    That's a difficult one, the Scalpel and the FSI (Flash Hardtail) are both brilliant bikes, suppose it will come down to whether you would prefer a Hardtail or Full Suspension. If you are planning on doing longer Marathon type races the Scalpel may be a better option.

    Hey WM17 - nice to meet you on the startline at Magoebas !! Always lekker to meet another hubber at a race. Hope you had a good ride, it was hot and the 42km was brutal !!

    My buddy is enjoying his so much just bought a second one in another colour - supposedly for the Missus but unofficially his training bike Did his first race at Magoebaskloof this weekend and got his best result ever.

    Also just doing the 40km - although all the climbing makes it feel like 80km !! Another Hubber and myself will be on a pair of White, Black and Green Cannondale Hardtails. See you there !!
