  1. I flew with the money pit last week..... Was actually the best flights I have had to date. The first flight had very good flight staff, Landing happened so smoothly I had too really concentrate too make out touchdown vs approach shudder. Second one I got upgraded to 1st class because I moved up flight time, Was super nice and landing was even smoother this time around. SAA has been a nice experience tbh fortunately company pays because they are more costly.
  2. Heyley your just lucky in your sa job, We do 3 peoples jobs and then every department will try moving some workload to another department Unfortunately our timelines are always behind, and project implementation periods super short. I miss the days of CNC machines and casting extruders etc. These days all I do is SCADA excluding control system. (Read IT) Sounds like a fun job get rid of that cold! Its gonna hamper the riding and all that
  3. yea I saw that it was still significantly far from the goal. Fortunately i can get it next pay day
  4. Nice idea! Now i wonder if there is any spare cash to back it and have it shipped to SA
  5. I think a Road trip is in order (i have lots of space in my car btw)
  6. If I had money I'd buy them all.... o wait wife said I'm only allowed to buy more once I find space for it all..... the crate is full!
  7. I saw that Volvo in shop on sunday, I really like it except for one tiny detail. It doesn't include the electrical function set. For about same price you could have the Crane from last year and that was MASSIVE! Love the bucket Machine! Might grab one of the Volvo's just cause its super nice. (Only if i can hide it from minister of Finance)
  8. If you use the "new white pipe" really cant remember what they call it. Just remember it needs a insert inside the pipe before using a connector. It will leak without the insert.
  9. Moridin that hammer drill u got if it has a function to just chisel will make removal of tile's super easy. I wouldn't tile (hate tiling and painting) but for that size it is always possible to do. When I removed bathtub I found following as filler: Hammer Cardboard from tile boxes Cement bag "NOTHING" (Litteraly managed to leave massive airgaps) Also found they never filled cavity in the wall where piping was done.... thus the excessive cracking in corner of house...... Also the whole corner's construction was crap. So geyser replacement was done (I watched and stopped most of crap) They still managed to stuff up electrical. I did inside so that was fine but outside is meh Note Plumbler connected the mixer tap swapped around (hot is cold) and they never flushed pipes so pressure on one tap stuffed from the crap stuck in it. Im happy with doing the work unfortunately most jobs arnt one man easy. Really need to get a good helper.
  10. I do electrical myself. Opened a plug socket the other day and discovered the horrible shortcuts from original construction. On a side note that dust is horrible! If you can try wet grinding, deals with alot of that dust
  11. HAHAHA Bike hub doesnt count as facebook
  12. Check Earthing on the plumbing. Regardless of what happens to the element the piping should be earthed to prevent this. Then replace element (Relatively cheap) and anode this prevents galvanic rusting inside the geyser.
  13. I have done following at my place: Built outside braai with chimney Put a roof section onto back yard between house and said braai (15m Square odd) Painted room Retiled kitchen Put down laminate in living room (removed tiles first) Currently i am busy redoing bathroom and non diy getting someone to do the Paving around house 50m square odd, its a small place. Bathroom currently sits on: Tiles removed mostly Bath Removed Basin Moved temporarily Geyser moved outside (Insurance claim) Outstanding Move toilet 10cm (yes really!) Install new plumbing. Brick everything up. Install bath and remove shower. Built cupboard for the basin. Lots left to do Its super fun tho
  14. Meh Thats not good news for me. There few enough lego stockists as is in my area.
  15. I saw those on a site yesterday. Bucket miner is somehow only one that I fancy :/ I noticed our checkers stores have stopped restocking? They waiting on new line?
  16. 2 Years is not unheard off life for a battery. They sometimes last longer when car gets to drive longer distances. Sometimes devices like Immobolizers, Alarms, Trackers or Gadgets can cause extensive drain. This with short townlike trips could kill battery. Dont rule out a short somewhere in car (drains it constantly). The guys at battery place told me to check amps while car off had to be sub 0.7amps if i remember correctly, Speaking under possible correction. Please dont attempt this if you dont have at least basic knowledge of how electrical systems work. Also be carefull of today's cars with ecu's they dislike fluctuations in electrical power so jumpstarting can sometimes be a problem. I have heard that LED headlights can sometimes cause issues with some systems as well (aftermarket installations)
  17. Thats in time for my Birthday!

  22. Technology has its stages and we are currently living it. The guys buying now are paying for research to find the perfect combinations. In mean time we get the trickle down allowing us OPTIONS. I am all for it but the Replacement wheel (still normal Hub)+ R20k, would have other half very unimpressed with me.
