  1. I have 2 Shimano rear dérailleurs with bent or broken cages. I've been looking for replacement cages everywhere for months. No joy. Anyone got a hot tip?
  2. No more Overdrive 2? Probably a relief.
  3. Tried playing some Lionel Richie, but nothing yet.
  4. Vigilante is a beast. I guess a Beeline is cool if you like to slide the back wheel a bit. Not a fan of Nics either.
  5. That's probably the wrong headset. Rather get the folk who're supplying your frame to send a headset with it - hunting for the correct one is a nightmare. Pygas have a cup at the top, but they don't take a cup at the bottom, the bottom - the bearing just fits straight into the frame. Measurements on their site.
  6. As far as I know, the frame should ship with a headset. Pretty sure its a Cane Creek too.
  7. Yes, this is what I'm thinking. As far as I could glean from Patrick, the shock not reaching bottom-out is part of his suspension design. He suggested that it could be run at pretty low pressures and still not bump. And I agree with all your points. Also feels like the shock needs to be run at a lower pressure with more rebound.
  8. Does anyone know if the Monarch shocks on Pygas are specially tuned/shimmed or are they "off the shelf"?
  9. So a broader question… What is the difference ( I mean in practical terms) between the Plus and the straight up Monarch RC3. Is an upgrade viable/needed/a waste of time?
  10. Somebody give that man a Spank.
  11. Oh I will be buying Trailstar. Done with Pacestar in the front. Thanks for that.
  12. That makes a lot more sense.
  13. Ya, the Flowtrails aren't narrowest rims around, and the Nics puff up on them. Think I'll do the 2.25 HD.
  14. Did the frame ship with that shock?
  15. Where do you get those?
  16. So would you buy 2.25 HDs next time? I'm looking at getting one for the front, but I'm afraid that the 2.35 is going to be too tractor. I have 2.35 Nic at the moment and that's pretty big. Flowtrail rims.
  17. Pparently same front triangle as 29.
  18. You could get a set of Novatec Flowtrails and then flip them when you get the fancier wheels built. I've had them on a 120 for a year now. Snapped a spoke on Karkloof rocks, but the wheel didn't much go out of true. So far so good.
  19. Tyres wrong way round?
  20. How's the X Fusion Slide on that bike?
  21. Holy cr@p, how much does that fork/skewer weigh?
  22. Flip, sounds pretty epic!
  23. Nothing wrong with Stans hubs if you look after them. Stick a new set of bearings in every year. Not like it'll break the bank.
  24. I hear you. Sitting here with a broken rib.
