  1. Love how these review threads really distill down to the essence of the bike.
  2. Phew, that looks killer!
  3. Ya, you're right. If its a 29er it could be quite a bit steeper. Oaks in this country LOVE to pedal.
  4. So am I.
  5. Phew, sounds awesome.
  6. Hehe, nort, I think mine are 10.
  7. My frozen 5.10s in the Himalayas. My favourite shoes, I wear them to work too.
  8. Bennie, do you mind taking a few more pics of that helmet? Inside etc?
  9. It will be mine.
  10. I really want one of those.
  11. You have 110 written all over you.
  12. Anything else is too little fork for that bike. I have a 140 Rev & I wish I had the Pike.
  13. Has anyone ever removed the bolt that holds the swing arm to the frame of a Pyga? I greased all my suspension bushes but this was the only bolt I couldn't remove. Didn't want to force it. Greasing all the bushes made a HUGE difference to the suspension performance by the way.
  14. Who has Spank stems in SA again?
  15. Another random point. I need a new bearing for the bottom of my headset. I seem to go through the Cane Creek ones. What's another good option that's not going to break the bank?
  16. Ya, its beyond me why these kinds of bikes aren't more popular here.
  17. People in this country are obsessed with climbing. The bike will climb very well, better than the Trance, but it'll have a bit of trail and downhill ability to suit all of us - the normal daily riders. This is a great one bike bike. Not sure why other mainstream manufactures haven't done something like this for the SA market. Don't get hung up on wheel sizes, just ride the bikes.
  18. This bike fills a niche here in SA that's thinly catered for.
  19. George Whatever you settle on, I'll take a red or green one. Tx
  20. Pray tell.
  21. Freezing my nuts off in Nepal.
  22. Nice. Where d'you get those...?
  23. Yes, I've looked at the Sweep (650) but I'm not convinced its MUCH better than my Rev.
  24. Makes sense. I find that the Rev actually lets the bike down in a way. You can't have everything.
