  1. You got full rear travel out of a Pyga? Unusual.
  2. Flip, and there's a hardtail on the next page for R84 000!!!
  3. I don't want to start a anti Spez rant, but if you look at the latest Tread mag reviews, there's a Stage alongside a Camber. Stage is R74 000 and the heavier Camber is R140 000. I've always liked the Camber, but who in their right mind would buy this bike, given what else is next to, and around? If you look at what else is out there, the Stage/Max is an amazing deal for what it is.
  4. I have one too. I love that bike.
  5. So is there any point in looking at the normal Stage? I've never wished for less travel.
  6. What do these frames cost? Pike up front?
  7. Flippin swarm of them!
  8. This is destined for my couch.
  9. The only people who poo-poo riding with a "fanny pack" are the ones that haven'y tried it. Beats a backpack hands down any day. When you consider that you look like a knob in cycling gear anyway, a moonbag isn't going to do you any more harm. It's the way forward. You're even going to see them at Enduro races soon.
  10. That 29er must be like a monster truck.
  11. Phew! That is a sorted bike.
  12. You're right, and I am happy with my Rev when I'm gritting my teeth in a cross country race. But when push comes to shove, the rear suspension on my bike shows up the fork pretty quickly. Any half decent rock garden or proper G out and the Rev dives or can't keep up. It's not that stiff either, and the frame wheels/stem all are.
  13. I know a few riders in the Howick/Karkloof area who run 160 pikes on their 120s. They seem to do OK. Doesn't look weird at all. Some of them are very quick on the trail. I have a 140 Rev on mine, and it's definitely the weak point of the bike. If I could do it again I'd look for a 150 pike.
  14. This is as good an answer as you're going to get. But its hard to argue against orange, yes!
  15. Enve is a rip. These guys make sense. All the best.
  16. When you consider the fact that a 35mm set of carbon rims can result in a wheel-set as light as Crests, but with a point and shoot rigidity that is simply amazing, along with loads more traction, then you begin to see the point of carbon as a material. Many people here obviously haven't spent time on carbon rims, as someone's already pointed out.
  17. I have the old one, and its just an awesome bike.
  18. Head angle please.
  19. I went from Nic to to a Toro on the front - about a year ago. Couldn't believe the difference. Not too much heavier either. The other day I went back to the Nic for a giggle, and didn't take too long to remember why I hated that tyre on the front. All looks and no guts.
  20. I wonder if that seat stay lines up with the top tube when you sit on it?
  21. Yes, Nobby nic is a deceptively crap front tyre.
  22. Ya, I'm sure it won't be absent. My 120 has brake jack, but it's hardly a problem. I only feel it under particular circumstances.
  23. http://www.pinkbike.com/news/pyga-stage-max-eurobike-2015.html Nice shout for the Stage on Pinkbike. Funniest thing is always reading the comments. Some of these oaks have no idea what they're looking at.
