  1. To all, We enjoyed being part of this ride and look forward to doing it again. looking at the picture i seem to have gained a few of those KG,s, will be rectifying the situation as from today.
  2. Jason and the TCS gang, The boys and girls of Cedar Vadek and our lovely Cherise (hope she can make it) will join you on this ride. Some will meet at Brooklyn circle and others at the start of the toll road. We will be there all the way to Harties and then turn back. Look forward to meeting you all
  3. Bruce, Congrats on the finishes, sure the rewards were nice
  4. If there was rider next to spidy i am sure he would get the message that it is left
  5. Hey, what can we say but it was only a pleasure to assist a TCS member with the wheel ensuring that she was on her way again. I like the foto's of Cherise and keep watching this girl as she is certainly getting better and better.
  6. Will agree that it is challenging route, Marshalls must be upped, road closure will be difficult and i think the race finnish can be on the main road with cylists going down the slipway to collect medal and drink.
  7. I was in the Cedar vadek car following the vets 30 -39 group, there was a break and we stayed with the second bunch, i did not have a route map (this was the 1st time as a team manager so i will get a route map for the next race) so was just following the cyclists. I did see that at all intersections there were yellow boards with directions indicated. The finnish was the only problem as i ended up with some MTB's who were not happy at all, sorry for this as it was not my intention to be on the wrong side. DR, maar jy was nie so vuil nie, so die reen was nie genoeg nie
  8. What is the rule regarding the finnish of a race? Is the D2D finnish accepatable according to the rules, i am sure there are other races that also have tricky endings like the Telkom Satelite maybe the Carousel? I dont know the rules and would like to have an answer to this
  9. Just bunk with the lass that just got married
  10. Hi guy's and gal's Sorry i could not be there not that it would of made a difference but is seems everbody had a great race. The league concept is working and makes for hard racing as mentioned by others. Grapkas i am glad to hear that you want to do more of the Pretoriasmileys/smiley36.gif races and beleive the next one is in 3 weeks time?. Spread the word to your mates. Amoryn, next timesmileys/smiley2.gif Well done to all
  11. Slowpoke, It will be great to see the visuals etc of your ride, I think you all should dress up for this is going to be a cold weekend as the weatherman says. Enjoy
  13. Your long ride for the 16th needs a name change "the cookie ride"smileys/smiley36.gif
  14. Spoon, Speak to Nochain, NickG, Joss and Diesel they ride R3 and Solist. Contact Joss at Morne Bester Cycles for a price. Cell: 0824866570
  15. Thanks Cervelo Will past it onto the wife as she is a big fan.
  16. For me i just load it on the back of the bakkie flap open and locked in with a holdfast bracket for the fork, also use some bungee cords. On occasions i have removed the wheels and packed it into a well known trailer the ventertjie, this works but one has to ensure that the bike is well protected when placing it inside. The other method is as mentioned by Oom Big H with a rack on a trailer.
  17. So how much did you get from the tooth mousesmileys/smiley2.gif Probaly enough for a new smilesmileys/smiley36.gif

  20. BB, Get her onto a bike and all will change, unless there are children then it becomes tricky as to decide who looks after the kids and who trains.smileys/smiley1.gif
  21. Kona, Lucky not my wheels, but sad to say that some dude in sabie has a toyota with 2 mags and 2 standard rims and is wearing a Cedar Vadek winter jacket.
  22. Thanks for the info, I was able to ride to work in the late eighties and early nineties. Mon -Thurs 25km to work and 60 - 70 home via Harties Sat- Race Sunday - friends. Got married, children and all changed but the wife started cycling as well and we are still going strong after 13 yrs each others company. My current program looks like this and sometimes i end up on the rollers at 20h00 to 21h00 on a night. Mon - thurs 1h00 on rollers at endurance 2, HR 70 - 80% Saturday, Race (try to cyle to a race when possible) Sunday, recovery ride 60 - 70KM This is on a good week, half of this then it is a bad week. What supplements do you use to recover? as i find this an area that i fall short on.
  23. Droster and the team, Enjoy and i hope that everthing goes according to plan. Safe Cycling
  24. Looking at your training stats posted i do not know what to say to you but you are one hell of a person to keep everything running, train, work, family etc.smileys/smiley32.gif As i do aproximately 10- 12 hours per week(101% = 20 hours per weeksmileys/smiley32.gif) i find that i am tired etc. Will you please share some of your training habits and supplements etc that you use to maintain your levels and what your training routine looks like. You mentioned that you are on the road when the young ones leave the clubs. What time do you start? I am sure there are other hubbers and myself that can benefit from your advice
