Reminds me of the Redbull Road Rage had a few years ago. They wanted to see who could descend a tarred mountain pass the quickest. They invited downhillers, xc racers and roadies. Most of the dh guys fitted slicks to their dh bikes and wore full dh gear. I have used WD 40 to remove old lube from my chains (after removing form bike). Soak a while and brush. After that I used Clean Green and water to remove the WD40.

Yes, you can replace the 52 with a 46, as long as the bolt patterns are the same.

I had a back operation a few years ago. My motto then and now is that I do not earn a living by riding my bike, and therefore it is worth healing properly, to enjoy riding later. With my back I did no riding for 8 months, and 7 years later I am glad I took proper time to heal and rehabilitate my back. My suggestion is to let the wrist heal properly so that you can enjoy riding later
