Okay that makes sense, the sram x9 clutch doesnt have an off switch so I haven't noticed any difference in shifting performance. Thanks for the info-that was really bugging me.

Can someone please explain why anyone would turn the clutch off? I really don't understand this...you might as well just stick to your original RD.

KARKLOOF! If you can hit the outback trails you'll die a happy man. The 15km falls loop from the country club is also insanely good fun-berms everywhere with a few awesome rock gardens...you cant go wrong with karkloof
