  1. nice topic - I am also looking for a comfy saddle atm, did 55km today and was fine except for my center @$$ bone (don't know the medical term) which gave me lots of pain.
  2. 138 entrants so far - seems like it will be a good race with nice trails - the organzers are doing alot of work getting everything 100%
  3. OP have a look at this bike - I got the 2014 model, great bike @ great price with great parts: http://www.silverbacklab.com/bike/mountain/silverback-slider-1/
  4. Wow, nice bike - bought my 2014 Slider 1 couple of months ago and best MTB I've ever owned in my "affordability" price range - should have waited maybe the 2015 Slider 1 looks epic.
  5. Thought I give some feedback - I was on flats using 5.10's for the last year and really enjoyed my MTB'ing - I think I would have stayed with flats but the area I am living in (North-West, Potch area) is more XC orientated than anything else (wished I stayed in a place with more trails\DH) I made the switch to SPD's and so-far I am not regretting it - I can see using my Edge that I am faster vs my flats - I think the year on flats taught me to be a better rider which is making me more relax/comfortable being strapped in on the bike with cleats now - I still have my flats and will use them again for the days I get to ride crazy/fun trails.
  6. Also ordered lots of stuff from them and always great, fast service and best prices . @Sportsworld I am looking for Shimano pedals pd-m785 or m520, can you get them?
  7. I bought a pair of Shimano M088 over the weekend, very nice comfy mtb shoe
  8. special on mtb shorts and jerseys will be cool, crazy in general how much the stuff costs.
  9. I will be keen, know my buddy will also like to attend - do you have any dates planned, will it be on a Saturday?
  10. Got myself the Silverback Slider for just over 20k, great components - have done 300km so-far and loving the 27.5/650B: http://www.thehubsa....-1-650b-review/
  11. ever seen a happy guy in a lab coat, put them in flats - might not be as efficient but is more fun imo - but lets not start a clipless vs flats thread.....again btw @porqui those Hi-Tec Figaro looks great, hows the grip
  12. Won't a nice set of flats be a better \ cheaper solution - my wife tried clipless but never was comfortable - now she rides with 5.10s and Saints, same as me, and she is loving the extra grip
  13. Hi Anyone know were I can get / order the cSixx chainstay protector locally. Thanks
  14. I just recenly went from DS 26'er to 650B DS and very happy - I do more trail than XC, but bike copes well with both - I once had a 29er for about 2 weeks and sold it, just could not get used to the bigger size wheels
  15. Got myself Slider 1, 650B - was afraid I am going to miss my 26'er but love the 27.5 - so far I only replaced the clipless pedals with Shimano's Saint flat pedals and ordered some better grips: http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii280/in10sive_photos/sb1_zps036564ab.jpg
  16. I got the bike today and took it for a quick 20km trail ride - have to agree with Hairy "this bike is a wolf in sheep skin". Great components and I only paid 23,500 which included new tubeless setup and tires - can highly recommend the Slider 1
  17. Thanks for all the advice - I ordered the Garmin 200 from easyGIS.co.za for 1600.00, will see how is the service, 1st time I ordered from them.
  18. Seems like you can import maps according to youtube vids - Yebo Yes
  19. I had a quick look at reviews for the 200, seems like a perfect fit for me and at half the cost of the 500
  20. thanks guys, not too bothered with the heart rate monitor - will have a look at the Garmin 200 or is the extra bucks worth it for the 500 Will drop the smart-phone idea
