  1. Also ordered lots of stuff from them and always great, fast service and best prices . @Sportsworld I am looking for Shimano pedals pd-m785 or m520, can you get them?
  2. I bought a pair of Shimano M088 over the weekend, very nice comfy mtb shoe
  3. I will be keen, know my buddy will also like to attend - do you have any dates planned, will it be on a Saturday?
  4. Got myself the Silverback Slider for just over 20k, great components - have done 300km so-far and loving the 27.5/650B: http://www.thehubsa....-1-650b-review/
  5. ever seen a happy guy in a lab coat, put them in flats - might not be as efficient but is more fun imo - but lets not start a clipless vs flats thread.....again btw @porqui those Hi-Tec Figaro looks great, hows the grip
  6. Won't a nice set of flats be a better \ cheaper solution - my wife tried clipless but never was comfortable - now she rides with 5.10s and Saints, same as me, and she is loving the extra grip
  7. Thanks - Cliff sorted me out.
  8. Hi Anyone know were I can get / order the cSixx chainstay protector locally. Thanks
  9. I just recenly went from DS 26'er to 650B DS and very happy - I do more trail than XC, but bike copes well with both - I once had a 29er for about 2 weeks and sold it, just could not get used to the bigger size wheels
  10. Got myself Slider 1, 650B - was afraid I am going to miss my 26'er but love the 27.5 - so far I only replaced the clipless pedals with Shimano's Saint flat pedals and ordered some better grips: http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii280/in10sive_photos/sb1_zps036564ab.jpg
  11. Thanks for all the advice - I ordered the Garmin 200 from easyGIS.co.za for 1600.00, will see how is the service, 1st time I ordered from them.
  12. Seems like you can import maps according to youtube vids - Yebo Yes
  13. I had a quick look at reviews for the 200, seems like a perfect fit for me and at half the cost of the 500
  14. thanks guys, not too bothered with the heart rate monitor - will have a look at the Garmin 200 or is the extra bucks worth it for the 500 Will drop the smart-phone idea
  15. Hi Hope this topic is not already posted / answered. I have decided to replace my dated Cateye with a more updated device - I would like a device that will give me more info, GPS, track my routes etc I am looking at the Garmin Edge 500 but I see a lot of posts about using a smartphone + Strava - which will be better - my big consideration is the price, the Edge 500 at R3000 vs gobii Smartphone IIP at R999 (http://www.kalahari.com/Electronics/gobii-Smartphone-IIP-200MB-x-12-months-free-data_p_48346743). Thank you
  16. Have a look at the Silverback Slider 1, seems like a good deal to me.
  17. but it is true
  18. Wonder how long it is going to take to change the mindset of the majority "3rd world" citizens in South Africa - can not even compare them to animals becuase even they have more dignity and respect for each other.
  19. Wow, what a difference - I did a quick 20km and it feels 100x better, no undies riding up my crack anymore, much more comfy. Just want to confirm - so it is hand wash with cold water and which soap, normal body soap or laundry soap. Thanking you guys from the bottom of my crotch for the "commando" advice.
  20. gonna go commando this afternoon and try it out
  21. Not peer pressure just curouis if/how much faster I might be...
  22. Almost a year riding MTB, I started with cleats (maybe a month) and then made the move to 5.10 and flats - also thinking of moving to cleats again but not sure how much I will benefit - with my flats I am passing lots of disco riders that stare at my setup at the start line and asking "why don't you ride with cleats". Only reason I am hesitating to go back to cleats is because of the nasty accident I had with them.
  23. Any idea who stock these "gym" cycling shorts
  24. Thanks guys, will give it a shot (will def wash after each ride) I knew I was going to open myself to lots of k@k comments
  25. Hi I have a "uncomfortable" strange noob question - I am am starting to cover lots more XC km each day - but my "rear" is starting to feel the pain/burn now - I have read on various sites that padded cycling shorts are designed to be used without underwear but won't it be a full time job keeping the shorts clean, I only have 2 at the moment because they are so expensive and afraid if I have to wash them every day they will not last long. Do you guys have any recommendations please - is their such a thing as specific cycling underwear to use with padded cycling shorts?
