I think the gravel rd is done, the roadworks they should finish tomorrow.

This is what the road looked like this afternoon. There were lots of traffic on the road, but that could be because of road works on the stretch of road towards the Vissershok Rd climb (they fixing some potholes!)... First 1km of the gravel road is a bit rough, and the last bit where it joins the tar road.

Went to check out the gravel road. Some might like it, others not. First 1km is the worse, but I saw lots of trucks on that piece of road. They are also fixing some potholes on the stretch just before the Vissershok climb.

I am still deciding on the 99er, will do my recce with the car on Thursday and decide on Friday. If it rains, it will be cyclo-cross style the last few kilometers, and the short route joining in - much fun.

I dont like riding that last stretch from Paarl brickfields to the Pniel turnoff... going to be interesting with short distance riders joining and the Sunday traffic towards Franschhoek.

I am keen for 1 March, might also join on 8 February if I am not doing the 99er (depends on the standard of the gravel road).

Not sure if I like Van Schoorsdrif Road more, or this gravel road. They will both feel the same on the hands...

Tarmac. Although the Fondreist has nice colour schemes if that matters to you.

I left Durbanville in zero wind conditions. Got blown everwhere in the race, back in Durbanville and almost no wind! Tough race, just happy I got to ride after stupid hayfever and nasal infection. Could have been bettrr though. Now time to relax.

I was looking forward to the Horse and Garden magazine.

That sucks big time!

I am going to the Oakdale club tomorrow afternoon. Hope it will go smooth.

Nice race... no rain is a big win... BUT I have never seen so many rollers in a race before. Was interesting times.

Two weekends left before Die Burger Hope next weekend will be better weather for riding!

I'm in for the 23rd. Doing the Lagoon challenge race this coming weekend.

Count me in... Possibly can't do the One Tonner, so the recce will be a bonus, and after my euro holiday and injury I started training late this year.

I have a 12-25 and a 11-27 cassette. I used to ride the 11-27 as it came with my bike. Then switched to a 12-25 a few months back. I can't say I missed the 27 gear - maybe on the steeper climbs a little, but there aren't many of them.

I have Mavic Ksyrium Equipes... Was thinking about Fulcrum Racings for a while, but in the end took the Mavics. Very happy with them.

Probably still loading as my time is not on there yet, and there must have been more then 268 people entered.

Very sad news. RIP Burry. Condolences to the family.
