  1. I must admit to a soft spot for Giants. Even though my race bike is no longer one, I still train most days on a TCR.
  2. Ya, he was all on his own at the or near the bottom. Just a moment lapse of concentration I guess.
  3. Rogla's crash was odd. He's easily one of the finest descenders in the bunch. Losing the race lead and probable eventual win has left a bad taste in their mouth for sure.
  4. Training wheels. Use em whilst you eye your next upgrade. Upgrades are like appetites. There's always another one as soon as you satisfy this one.
  5. This is better: https://solomonscycles.co.za/products/giant-tcr-advanced-2-disc-pro-compact-2020/ vs https://solomonscycles.co.za/products/titan-valerian-pro-2020/ The Giant (even with 105 wins hands down) (With my own ZAR, I'd look at this: https://solomonscycles.co.za/products/bianchi-sprint/)
  6. Yeah, to be fair, my comment was about 50% tongue in cheek. Remco crashed on a descent that is notoriously dangerous and claims many seasoned pros as well. And the entire peleton is complaining about the Daupnine's descents.
  7. Speaking of which, I was thinking yesterday of arranging an unofficial East Rand Hub Spring Day ride.
  8. Maybe if they had a smidgen of self preservation, Remco and Rogla's seasons would still be looking bright. Muppets.
  9. It's a public space. You can have one rule and everyone and their dog can follow it.
  10. Did the tiny dog died?
  11. I saw many as well whilst riding outside the zone of death and outside the time limit back in the day, and I didn't died of corona or plod yet...
  12. This thread is useless without pics of new shoes. (I have a problem, I love cycling shoes, I have too many pairs already, but I like looking at new ones as well)
  13. My better half only rides with me under two conditions: it's on the tandem; and there will be a coffee stop...
  14. The Tour is won in preparation. It can be lost in the third week though.
  15. The whole lot (bar Castrovejo) look flat and disinterested.
  16. Between him and Pinot I'm very impressed.
  17. Rolled right over their own team. Looked like they took a page from the movistar road book today.
  18. They cocked that one up.
  19. I take it back. No Mas.
  20. Odd that. It's only been since 2000 odd (the Lance years) that the system of throwing your team on the front to throttle the life out of the race started and then was perfected by the Skybots. So, in the more than 100 years of the Tour, that form of control isn't really the norm or traditional.
  21. What is his race program? Tour or Giro? I can't figure why he road a Giro warm up and now a Tour warm up. It looks like his program, along with his preparation, is all over the place.
  22. Asthma fuelled attack time?
  23. Of course he's 8. Before he's even scratched the bike he will have outgrown it. So don't overpay.
  24. Yip. I have a RM 6.0, the one with the carbon rear stays, also a 26", but, it probably has 1000km on it total over the years. Not a single scratch on it, it get's ridden when I go with my fiancee when she runs 5km a couple of times a week.
  25. Oh. He means a courier to transport a bicycle. Not a bike courier.
