  1. Am running 30mm on my KNOT wheels - went from 25mm. Definitely worth trying it out.
  2. Sure. PM me I have old pair lying around somewhere… ????
  3. Am currently staying in Vermont area for a few weeks, if anyone is keen to join up for a road or mtb ride (I know the H&A trails quite well) let me know. Am super keen to do a few road rides, I just don't like doing those too much on my own.
  4. I would also add that you should avoid the smaller rings on the cassette, since they generally wear faster than the larger ones.
  5. As long as it fits in your luggage allowance and weight limit they “should” be okay. The dimensions are usually the issue but i have yet to see them pull out a measuring tape. Flew Singapore to Cape Town last week without a problem using an evoc bag. They didn’t check the bars, just asked if the tires had been deflated.
  6. And just to be clear for others if you want to use SRAM road 12x you need to get a SRAM road cassette and driver. Nothing else will work.
  7. I use mine (Eagle X01) with an 11-speed sram cassette and it works 100%. You can go the whole hog and buy the XD driver from Wahoo and then fit a SRAM cassette - but that’s gonna cost quite a bit. Other options - as others have mentioned are the sun race or NX cassettes.
  8. Yeah I got the Pro. Was a toss up between that and the non-ratcheting head. Decided to go with the ratchet.
  9. Yep. I went for the ratcheting head too. It’s quite an upgrade from my previous torque wrench which became woefully unreliable with its clicks - sometimes it clicked and sometimes it didn’t…
  10. Hemel-en-aarde trails. They’ve take some real hard knocks from all the rain. Parts have collapsed completely but still passable due to the hard work of the trail builders in the area.
  11. Feels like a Swiss watch - decided to stop buying crappy tools.
  12. Singapore - about 2/3rds of the circumference of the island…
  13. Top of Sumaridge - did roughly the same ride on Saturday and Sunday. There is a new downhill section the trail fairies have built since the last time I was here.
  14. I usually do but I had to go back via Camps Bay so gave it a skip. It’s definitely gotten quite rutted lately and I have had some “moments” on the last steep bit...
  15. Up to the blockhouse. Haven’t been here in ages but it’s still a good lung buster!
  16. I use both Smoove and Squirt. Squirt definitely gunks up more but is better for wetter rides. Smoove is king for dusty conditions. It’s super important not to use too much and after running it through the chain to wipe off the excess. I only live the inside of the chain. That being said I do run the chain through a rag and relubr before each ride. Takes 5 minutes but it keeps everything clean and smooth.
  17. I have spent a large amount of time in Italy - Trentino and Umbria mtb’ing but I would love to check out the Pyrenees some day. My wife and I work remotely, so this looks like a good base to check out provided there is a decent Internet connection.
  18. Cool posts and pics! Thoroughly enjoying them. Definitely makes me want to visit as soon as it is “allowed”. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Hemel-en-aarde above Ataraxia - stunning day!
  20. Awesome pics and thread. FYI: If you want to shrink images while losing the least amount of quality try Squoosh: https://squoosh.app/
  21. Rockbros glasses sell for R100-R150 in Singapore. For that price, I would be wary of the quality. Especially whether they provide adequate UV protection. You can search Lazada for Rockbros to get an idea: https://s.lazada.sg/s.zvqb
  22. I ordered this one from Italy - I live in Singapore so import duties are almost nothing.
  23. Been riding this for about 8 months now and love it!
  24. Yeah, it doesn't work that way on the Delonghi unfortunately. It has a single button to do the entire process, and the milk is always first.
  25. I have the exact same Delonghi. It makes amazing coffee, but don't bother with those style of attached frother units, they make really terrible froth and a huge mess. They also do the froth first and then the coffee, which means you get a whole bunch of froth at the top and all the coffee at the bottom. They are a huge mission to clean too. Just terrible... I use a Bialetti Tutto Crema to make the froth. Perfect everytime, and really low tech. I highly recommend the Bean There coffee beans. You will need to play with the timing and the grind to get what you like, so be patient. Once it's setup, there is really no easier way to make a perfect cup of coffee in just a few minutes.
