  1. Eish, let's hope not Trusting Ride Mag and the relevant roll players / sponsors will get it sorted out soon enough
  2. Anyone know if they have announced the winner of the Ride Magazine Comp for the Munga entry and Lynskey bike and kit? It was supposed to happen on the 15th April which has come & gone.
  3. That Kitching is a great find. With the advances in titanium lazer welding I'm pretty sure that frame can be repaired to a usable state. I have a friend who lazer welds titanium spectacle frames, let me know if you need his details.
  4. I found this article while searching for DHC online, thought you guys might find it interesting... https://mg.co.za/article/2013-09-13-00-fixed-assets-a-bicycle-frame-of-mind
  5. I popped into Woodstock Cycle works in CT on Fri and they have plenty of old bikes and frames available. Unfortunately you're paying legend tax though, the pricing is rather steep.
  6. If anything, that freakin truck driver deserves a damn medal, HTF did he slow down that monster so quickly?
  7. Ok, so not today but yesterday evening. This was on Bottelary Trails at the top of Zevenwagt. Spoilt
  8. E-Bikes aren't coming, they are here already and they're pretty impressive machines. Whether you like them or not is irrelevant, they appeal to a certain demographic and they’re selling well so clearly the demand is there. For now you might be able to distinguish them from other bikes due to battery pack size but very soon battery technology will be so good that they'll look like a normal bike and short of having the trail police inspecting bikes out on the trails, you'll have no idea they're even out there riding with you. Your Strava stats are doomed, enjoy it while you still can.
  9. Are bikes with STi levers excluded from Eroica? I have a 95/96 Bianchi with Columbus tubing running an 8 speed Dura-Ace STI setup that I'd love to bring to this event but I'm assuming it doesn't qualify as vintage yet?
  10. I believe today is the last day for early bird registration discount #justsaying #timetopaytheferryman
  11. Another one... Sport bike... for a Specialized https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-sports-bicycles-fitness/salt-river/sports-bike/1001899288290911117071209
  12. Maybe, maybe not... the Description of the item is just very shady for someone who rides a bike like this. https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-sports-bicycles-fitness/stellenbosch/mountain-bike-for-sale/1001899281290910859842309
  13. Unbelievable, I love it when humans do Epic Sh!t. Well done Grant, keep those pedals spinning.
  14. No worries. I had considered a blog, I'll look into it in a bit more detail
  15. Hi Slowbee, I was hoping to use that original thread as a link to fund raising drive for the Red Cross Children's Hospital Trust and thought it might just be easier for people to find it rather than scrolling through combined threads. Sorry I missed you thread where you asked. But let's leave it like this and see how it works out.
  16. Funny guy, I kill you last  Don't joke, I've started the base miles on my 26er because my other bike is a 27.5 Trance and not suited to long gravel roads
  17. Thanks, reading the history of the Arebesque groupset was interesting
  18. They still seem to be available on eBay, maybe keep an eye out there (if you haven't already)
