Ready to roll, did all the packing and sorting yesterday, got a crazy 3 days at work before I hit the road to JHB, collect rouxtjie, then head off to 3 Towers. Have packed enough stuff to last a year, going to be well prepared, in terms of camping stuff etc, the legs, well lets just say there is nothing that can be done about it, it is what it is. My total training for 3 Towers 2013 was 550KM with about 7000mts of vertical gain. Arrive Thursday and let the fun begin!

My advice would be: Slowbee, walk away. The law does not judge you by a your intentions, but, by your actions. If caught you will be implicated in the crime. hahaha, this one, came around the corner not concentrating, missed the corner into a root web and hole, it is amazing how quickly one can un-clip when the chips are down, landed where I took the pic, a pity there was no-one with me to enjoy it.

I'm 100% in agreement, why should we have to ride routes that are designed for the newbie underskilled rider? When there is plenty oppurtunity to sharpen your skills. Go on a technical skills course, read magazines, watch You Tube, I learnt the hard way, I never whined to anyone, I made a point of getting better. VG is not only a race venue, open through out the year, go and practice, it is no-one but yourself that is responsible for your safety and technical skills.
