  7. Although it may seem like it, the grease is not the same. Yes grease is grease but the shimano grease has a lower viscosity and feels a lil bit "gritty"(lack of a better word). Normal grease may have worked in your case and maybe shall continue to work in some similar cases but it is always better to use what the manufacturer recommends as long we are not getting shafted.

  10. Is hairspray not oily ?, you need something that will evaporate once the grips are on the bars, I know you are not suppose to use oily stuff on ESI's as they will just get destroyed. Use body sprays eg AXE,Status or you can use methylated spirits

  15. 39 kilometers one way, 4 days a week, its been hellish commuting in winter but being in the saddle makes it worth it, i used to struggle to keep 12km/h, now i can sustain 26 km's without breaking a sweat, but it gets boring as i don't have anybody to push with, everybody is always going in the other direction.
  16. Hi guys, new to the forum and trials in general, saw road bike party and was just hooked then 'n there, went out to get some video's and view some basic techniques, only got as far a stopie-with-a-45degree-twist and the brakes were gone, no stopping power what so ever just a mushy squish, now i need 100 meters to stop. To be fair they were never there. If any of you have a good pair lying around that you are willing to hand me down that would be greatly appreciated, i am currently using -brakes but the bike has disc mounting points, have a pretty much none existing budget for everything the perks of being a zombie uni student. Below is the pic of the bike i am using, it was handed down to me in 2007 been commuting on it since 2011 only replaced the tires and the bottom bracket bearing retainer, it kept getting mangled(thunder thighs, i think) every fortnight decided to no longer buy bearings, (started using the left over balls,i had something like 54 balls, i put in 11 instead of the 8 when they have the retainer, its a bloody mission to put them in but it runs super smooth); gaaat won't upload via mobile but its a M650 raleigh
