  1. They did it on a fully assembled bike.
  2. I took a bike to VPS Midrand. Charged me R1000. If it's good enough for cars, it's good enough for bikes
  3. My first trans. Great advice here. Thanks guys Did a 190km last Sat, 180km tomorrow with 5 hrs of night riding What is recommended stop time at the waterpoints. We thinking 10 mins max
  4. I had the exact same problem after a firmware update on my kickr 3. At least 1 power drop per minute After much troubleshooting and been in contact with both zwift and wahoo, I cut my wifi in the room and all readings to my garmin. My desktop is hard wired to my router and only link my garmin to hr (for discovery points) . Havent had 1 power drop in my last 5 hours of zwift.
  5. :Looks like a common petty thief who was online at 19h30. admin should sticky this post
  6. How do you do that. I want to try it. Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
  7. One important thing in my setup. I was connecting the kickr on ant+ to zwift. Same with cadence and hr to the same ant+ dongle. It seems that only the ant+ signal to the kickr interfered with the wifi. It's on one of the wahoo wiki troubleshooting guides. The cadence and hr were perfect. See pic. Switched off wifi in the room. Problem solved. My phone connection to wifi in adjacent room and Bluetooth to headphones are not a problem. Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
  8. I just want to add on the debate particularly with connection problems. I have the kickr 3. My setup is in my network office. ant+ connection to a desktop with Garmin ant+ dongle. I use a Garmin Tri hr belt and old Garmin gsc10 cadence sensor. This all links to zwift where I do my interval training. I would get intermittent connection loss to the kickr where power dropped to 0 in zwift. Yet, cadence and hr still reading in zwift. I would also link to an Edge 820 to log the workout to Garmin Connect which uploads to Discovery for my points. The zwift to Garmin Connect does not load into Discovery. And to top it off, my telkom lte router is in this office. So there is alot of signals flying around in the room I update kickr firmware last week. And then zwift is a nightmare. Power drops every 20 to 30 seconds. Turns out after contacting both zwift and kickr support that the 2.4ghz wifi frequency interferes with the ant+ connection to the power meter. I've switched it off, stopped logging to the edge, only connecting edge to hr for Discovery points. Not once did the signal drop for my last 2 interval training sessions. Keep the above in mind. If you getting power dropoffs Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
  9. Place piece of cloth on cap, I use a long nose pliers and apply the right amount of lateral pressure with turning action and it opens
  10. Anybody can give me split times for 2h55. Just 5 points on the route? Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
  11. Please add an option on the last question: Tried it. Doesn't make a difference I have 34t rapide, 34t and 36t Absoluteblack ovals and in my opinion it does not make a difference. This is my reasoning: I have a 11 - 50 Sunrace 11sp cassette. So I needed to find the correct chainring on the front. My previous setup was a 34 round with 11-46 cassette. My strength is power on flats, downhills and gentle inclines. So I opt for big rings in the front. I decided to try the 34t oval. Because it gave me the 36t on the flats. I use a cadence sensor and compared data on 2 different rides on the same segment. The cadence speed on the round and oval was the same and the speeds identical. So the 36t did not come into play. Rechecked the fitment and all was correct. I then got the Absoluteblack rings and fitted them with the 11-50 cassette. I tried the 36t oval. Big mistake. On the 3rd ride, (91km, 46km and on the 107km ride), my knees both started paining simultaneously. Put me out of action for 6 weeks. Missed the Transbaviaans and lost alot of fitness. I now swop between 36t or 38t round based on the trail I'm doing. 36t is sufficient to climb 17% gradients.
  12. Having dropped my old faithful 810 at Ironman transition, i decided to replace it with a 820 So far I am still deciding if its a good piece of kit. I have had it freezing on me. And a question on battery life. I switched it off with 80% life on Sani2C day 2, displayed the greyed out power graphic on the screen. Next morning it only had 17% life. No time to charge, had to ride in power saving mode which lasted 2h53 on day 3. Did not get the whole ride. In the mean time, a guy in PE found and subsequently returned my 810. Now have to make a call as i have to sell one of them!
  13. 2 weeks now. I stream the supersport channels. on TV and PC. Wife watches some normal DSTV on the app The remote is iffy. so Im using a buetooth type with full keyboard.
  14. I recently bought a mediabox on onedayonly. The one with all apps pre installed. I canceled my home dstv subscription a year ago. And streaming ever since However still have an active dstv subscription at a flat I rent out. Meaning I have access to the online streaming. The mediabox has kodi, Netflix, Amazon, Supersport and dstv preinstalled. I watched the formula 1 uninterrupted yesterday. So if you know somebody with a premium dstv subscription ???? Check it out. http://mediabox.co.za Goes for R1500 on Takealot. Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
  15. Would love the 50 tooth. But also looking at the one up 9 tooth at the bottom end Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
  16. Did a lap on the mtb yesterday. Got 78.1km/hr by freewheeling. I can't turn pedals that fast with my 34 oval ring. What concerned me and the group that were riding is that we got no receipt on entry for our R25 x 20 riders. Im sure most of it gets pocketed Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
  17. This was my first Ironman and only second triathlon. Having done the Bela Bela 5150 last year. The swim was difficult with the choppy conditions. Ended on 1hr45. Bike was good. Did the first lap in 2h55 but decided I was going too fast so held back on second lap. Came in at 6hr27 having had nice stop at half way. My run was a shocker. Only did a 21km before IM and only ever ran 5k off the bike. The run at the 5150 was a walk. Got blisters at the 35k mark. So cruised in at 6h48 for the 42k. But the euphoria of crossing the finish line at 15h17 made up for all the training time and pain. What a feeling! Will I do it again. Hell yes!!! Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
  18. I use my Shimano XC70 and XC90 Mtb shoes on two mountain bikes, an Sworks Venge road bike and BMC Time trial bike with mtb cleats. Was never questioned about it
  19. Saw the video. These guys were organised Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
  20. Try Phoenix. Sports TV link and then there's a sports live link. All live events are there. Usually multiple links per event. Very reliable. Been watching soccer and cricket there with no problem Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
